The Save Jersey Blog has given a loud and clear directive to “Vote “NO” On New Jersey’s Question #1″
I know we?re all focused on the presidential contest, but there?s real work to be done here at home. For example, we have a ballot initiative that needs to be voted DOWN.
Question #1 on your November 6th ballot, ?Building Our Future Bond Act,? authorizes the state to issue $750 million in new bonds to fund matching grants for New Jersey institutions of higher education. The projected price tag for taxpayers, including interest and additional costs? Approximately $1 billion in new debt!
But the exorbitant cost of this new bond campaign is only half of the story.
