A recent Congressional hearing revealed that the IRS plans on extending the Earned Income Credit to illegal aliens, which would permit them to file a “tax return” on taxes they never paid.?? The Weekly Standard calls this an “Amnesty Bonus.”
Liberty and Prosperity advocates to make all laws and taxes simple and easily understood, and apply them equally to everyone.?? There are two problems here:
I) Giving illegal aliens refunds on taxes they never paid is welfare, not a tax return, and
II) Illegal aliens by definition are here in our country illegally.?? Rather than a welfare payment, we should be giving them a ride home to their place of origin.
Laws should apply to everyone, even existing immigration laws.
