Remember when environmental groups protested McDonalds fast food restaurants making too much garbage??? And how McDonalds bought them off by agreeing to buy only ?Newman?s Own? salad dressing to fund their organizations??? Now South Jersey Gas agreed to raise utility bills to pay $8 million for permission to bury a 24 inch pipe through 15 miles of useless scrub pine on government owned land in the Pinelands.?? That comes to $530,000 per mile, or $100 per foot?even though South Jersey Gas agreed to restore the land by replanting all displaced trees and shrubs.?? How much of that money will pay the salaries of employees of the “non-profit” environmental groups who are protesting this reasonable and necessary project to give us cheap and reliable electricity and heating fuel??? Come to Pinelands Commission at Galloway Twp Municipal Building,? today, Monday, December 9.?? Or at New Lisbon on Friday, Dec. 13.?? Details above.?? Seth Grossman.
