Seth Grossman WPG Radio 1.31.2026: Grok AI: “Liberty and Prosperity” Is “Worthy Charity.” Dems Set Trap in Minneapolis. ICE & DHS Walked Into It. How To Win Back Support for Immigration Enforcement. Ocean City, NJ Schools Teach Fake “Woke” History of MLK.

Highlights of Seth Grossman weekly interview with John DeMasi on Talk with a Purpose. Heard on WPG Radio WPG 1400AM and 95.5FM in most of South Jersey Saturdays shortly after 9AM and usually replayed Sundays shortly after 5PM.

  • Grok AI (Artificial Intelligence) confirms that Liberty and Prosperity a “worthy charity.”

  • Communists, Socialists and “Woke” Democrats spent months setting a trap in Minneapolis. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) walked right into it.

  • Seth Grossman proposes plan to win back majority support for immigration enforcement. #1. Freeze All New Immigration from outside US until we digest immigrants we already have. (Under 1965 Law, more than 400,000 foreigners can now legally move to U.S.) #2. Let “Best of the Best” Illegals Apply for Legal Status, BUT WITHIN 400,000 PER YEAR LIMIT. #3. Continue Systematic Deportations of illegals (and their families) who are criminals, living on welfare, or otherwise not becoming self-sufficient Americans. #4. Repeal 1965 Immigration Law and return to allowing only 100,000 legal immigrants per year.
  • Ocean City Schools falsely teach students that all of America, not just Confederate South, had Jim Crow segregation until Martin Luther King in 1963.

Grok Confirms that Liberty and Prosperity is a “worthy charity.” Please pay $30 dues for 2026 and support $75 Fundraiser with State Senator Michael Testa on February 15.

SETH GROSSMAN: $30 dues for 2026 plus $75 Fundraiser with Senator Michael Testa on February 15. Ask AI (Artificial Intelligence) if Liberty and Prosperity is a worthy charity. There are many AI programs out there. Some use ChatGPT. I use Grok, the AI Program of Elon Musk on X or Twitter.

Last week, I asked Grok, “Is Liberty and Prosperity 1776, Inc. a worthy charity? Basically, it, it said “Yes!”  We are a worth charity. And Grok also wrote nicer things about Liberty and Prosperity than I could write myself.

So, I invite you to go to our libertyandprosperity.com website to read that. It’s posted there.

JOHN DEMASI:  Well, that’s very encouraging.

Communists, Socialists and “Woke” Democrats Spent Months Building a Trap in Minneapolis. Kristi Noem and Gregory Bovino Walked Right Into It.

a

Above Image: “Bloody Sunday” 1905 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Communists and Socialists won public support by provoking police and soldiers into shooting unarmed demonstrators. Communist leader Vladimir Lenin later perfected those methods and taught them to his followers. Many of them were later described by Saul Alinsky in his book Rules for Radicals published in 1971. Barack Obama often used that book as a “community organizer” in Chicago during the 1980s.

SETH GROSSMAN: Let me answer your basic question on why there is so much public anger against ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Right here in Linwood (NJ) last Thursday, there were about 200 people protesting against, ICE.  I think there are two main reasons for it.

Number one is that Kristi Noem, the head of Homeland Security and Gregory Bovino were absolutely horrible. They walked right into the trap that that Communists, Socialists, and “woke” Democrats set for them. Look at the big picture. What have these radical leftists doing during the past month? They’ve been taking every one of their hardcore soldiers, their fanatics, their lunatics, their most violent and aggressive people, and they were sending them to Minneapolis.  Why? because they wanted violent confrontations and street battles with ICE.  And Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino gave them exactly what the Left wanted.

We are in the middle of a Civil War. And to win that war you need to fight and win battles. When you fight a battle, the first thing you do is shape the battlefield. And if your enemy wants to have a certain kind of battle on the streets in a certain way, you do NOT want to fight that battle the way your enemy wants on the battlefield that your enemy chooses.

But that is exactly what Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino did. They sent 2,000 ICE agents into the streets of Minneapolis. By doing this, they played right into the hands of the Leftists. Because when you have confrontations between hundreds of people out in the street, someone’s going to make a mistake. Someone’s going to miscalculate, and you’re going to get the two shootings that we got.

It really doesn’t matter whose fault those shootings were. The radical left wanted a physical confrontations with Trump’s immigration officials and they wanted people to get hurt. They wanted people to die so they could get all of this footage on video that is on the TV news every day.  We played right into their hands.

The only good news is that Trump is trying to fix that situation. Trump is finally just now doing what he should have done at the very beginning.  Instead of sending ICE agents to have fights in the streets and neighborhoods, Tom Holman is finally talking to state and local officials and reminding them that they have a legal and constitutional obligation to comply with federal laws. That means that if they have dangerous illegal immigrant or illegal alien, criminals locked up, they violate the law if they release them into the streets and into the neighborhoods.

Tom Homan has finally made that clear, and he forced the Minnesota officials to admit that. However, this happened a little late and a lot of damage has been done.

Above Image: The Generals by Thomas E Ricks explains how Americans have a long tradition of being unprepared for war. He wrote of how General John J. “Blackjack” Pershing overcame this during World War I and how George Marshall did this during World War II. Both systematically fired and replaced ineffective commanders.  Ricks suggests that America lost winnable wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan because our military is no longer led by commanding generals who do this.

AMERICANS HAVE A TRADITION OF BEING UNPREPARED FOR WAR.

However, in all fairness, I have to say that Americans have a tradition of not having good military leadership at the beginning of a war. And again, were are in a civil war. Minneapolis today is our Fort Sumter. Confederate Democrats today are doing today what they did to Abraham Lincoln in in 1860. America is still a nation today because President Abraham Lincoln knew how o deal with them.

When someone is looking for an excuse to start a war, you have to carefully use propaganda. You have to make it clear that the other side starting it. America had that problem during our last Civil War. It took Abraham Lincoln two years to find General Grant. If President Lincoln didn’t fire and replace his first generals, the Union would have lost the Civil War.

George Marshall became Army Chief of Staff just before World War II.  He immediately fired and replaced more than 500 top senior officers.  He said they were “too old, too slow or too ineffective for modern warfare.

During the Vietnam War, we started with Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara and his crazy “Strategic had a crazy strategy of strategic hamlets that screwed up the Vietnam War. And then you had William Westmoreland who made things even worse with his big “Search and Destroy” operations. It took us eight years to get Creighton Abrams who knew how to win the war. But by that time, most Americans were tired of the war and we gave up and went home.

Strategy and good leadership are critical, and until now, we had not had either one.

Then there’s a second big problem that we have talked a lot about. You can’t fix a problem, and you can’t get most voters to support doing what it takes to fix a problem if you can’t explain what the problem is.

MOST AMERICANS OPPOSED DEPORTING THE “BEST OF THE BEST” ILLEGALS.

The problem is that we have more than 20 million foreigners illegally in our country. And if we allow all 20 million to stay, we don’t have a country anymore. That is because there are 8 billion people in the world and about five or six billion would love to have a better life in America. However, we cannot let all of them come here. Since 1920, we had a quota, or limit on the number of foreigners who could legally come here. From 1920 to 1965, we had an immigration quota, or limit of roughly 100,000 a year, and it was strictly enforced. In 1965, Ted Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson Democrats expanded legal immigration to 400,000 per year, which is way too much. And now we have 400,000 a year coming here legally plus the 20 million who are already here illegally. It’s just not sustainable.

So how can we this? Here’s my suggestion. I think we need to break this problem into manageable chunks. You say let’s have mass deportations of all 20 million illegals. However, I think it’s clear that this is not working. Look at the mess we have deporting just 2 million illegals during the past year.  Do you really think we can keep doing this for at least ten more years?

Let’s break it down. Out of the 20 million illegals, about two to three million are criminals. Most Americans agree that they should go, along with their families. Then we have maybe another 10 million illegals who have not committed any crimes outside of being here illegally. However, they are not assimilating. They are not working. They do not own legal businesses. They are not paying taxes. They are gegging all sorts of government assistance. They are a burden to our schools, hospitals, and social service agencies. We simply cannot afford them.  Most Americans agree that they should also go.

But that leave roughly six to eight more illegals, who I would call the best of the best. They have jobs, they have businesses.  They are educated. They speak English. They obey the law. They have close ties to the community. They are productive citizens. They are well-liked by their neighbors, the employers and co-workers.  What do we do with them?

Theoretically, they should also be deported.  They broke the law to get here.  And there is another good reason to deport them. If we give them all amnesty, we have open borders again. That is what happened when President Ronald Reagan agreed to mass amnesty forty years ago.

Reagan said, “We have six million illegals already here.  Let’s give them all amnesty.  And then, let’s crack down.  Let’s really control the border and really enforce immigration laws in the future.

But that never happened.  We got just the opposite.  We got open borders. Millions of foreigners rushed into America and gamed the system. They knew that once they got across the border, they would never get deported. They just had to lay low for a few years and wait for the next amnesty.

So what can we do? How can we let the best of the best illegal immigrants stay, which is what most Americans want to do, without ended up with open borders, like what happened with the Reagan amnesty?

SUGGESTION: CAN WE FREEZE ALL NEW IMMIGRATION FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES? CAN WE HAVE THE “BEST OF THE BEST” OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ALREADY HERE GET LEGAL STATUS INSTEAD?

Here is my suggestion.  Let’s have an immediate freeze on all new immigration from other countries. Right now, the 1965 Ted Kennedy Law is still in effect.  It says we have to take in 400,000 new immigrants each year from foreign countries. If we keep doing that and also allow ten million illegals stay, even the best of the best, we will end up with open borders.

However, if we freeze all new immigration and instead apply that 400,000 per year quota to illegal immigrants already here, in 20 years, we will have a complete fix to the problem. Then we can move the quota back to 100,000 per year.  What do you think?

I’m only speaking for myself.  I can’t speak for Liberty and Prosperity until after we discuss it at a few of our Saturday breakfast meetings, and then take a vote.

I also reached out to Congressman Jeff Van Drew and made this suggestion to him.  Congressman Van Drew is very important because President Trump respects his opinion.

I told Van Drew I want to test this idea with our Liberty and Prosperity members and with our radio audience, so I will be listening.  Then I will get back to him.

By the way, when professionals do this, they do the same thing by hiring groups of people to give their opinions.  They call these people focus groups and these professional consultants charge hundreds of thousands of dollars to get opinions from focus groups.

JOHN DEMASI:  You know, we Chris and I are laughing about we’ve had a few 100 consulting sessions in our careers. Believe me, we know what you’re talking about.

SETH GROSSMAN:  Over the years, we found out that we don’t need expensive consultants and focus groups. We just listen to the callers on radio programs like Talk with a Purpose on WPG Radio. We listen to the opinions of the the two or three dozen people who come to our Liberty and Prosperity breakfast discussions every Saturday in Somers Point.

And so I’m very curious what your listeners think of my suggestion. And I promised Congressman Van Drew that I would share these opinions with him.

Above Image: Opinion Page of January 21, 2026 Edition of the Ocean City (NJ) Sentinel. It featured four prize-winning essays about Martin Luther King written by students of the Ocean City Intermediate School. The newspaper is distributed in the shore communities of Atlantic and Cape May counties and is posted online at this link: Ocean City Sentinel ‣ Ocean City, NJ News • Sports • Real Estate.

SETH GROSSMAN:  Last month, the, the Ocean City Sentinel, published four winning essays from about Martin Luther King. They were written by 14-year-old students of the Ocean City Intermediate School.

When you read them, you see that these kids are repeating a very dishonest and incomplete narrative of America history. This explains why so many young people are rejecting America and rejecting their parents. I see many tragic situations where grandparents help send their grandkids to college and then these college kids don’t want to have anything to do with the grandparents. These grandkids call their grandparents bigots and racists for supporting President Trump or defending traditional American values.

It all makes sense when you understand what our public schools and colleges are teaching these kids. Here’s one example. One 14-year-old wrote this in his essay:

The headline was “Martin Luther King Prompted Change”.  Here is how he began his essay:

“Today, in our country, people of different colors sit at the same table, ride in the same bus, sip the same water at fountains, but that wasn’t the case 63 years ago. African Americans had to go to more filthy, polluted hospitals, buses and schools while people with white skin got to go to more luxurious places. Marin Luther King changed all that…”

I and the rest of my Boomer generation were very much alive 63 years ago. That was 1962. We know that what is in this essay is an absolute lie. I was born in the Atlantic City Hospital in 1949. It was a first-class, quality hospital and it served everyone in Atlantic City, regardless of race. It was completely integrated. My mother wrote that being in the maternity ward there was like being a guest in a first-class Boardwalk hotel. And Blacks and whites were treated equally there.

In Atlantic City, the buses and jitneys were all fully integrated in the 1950s and 1960s. I know because that’s how I got to school.  And Blacks and whites in Atlantic City went to the same schools. I went to Central Junior High School and Atlantic City High School and many of my classmates were Black.  So were many of my best teachers. They included Alice Carter, Marvin Hill and Edgar Harris.

And this did not just happen in the 1950s and 1960s.  If you read a book called “Growing Up in the Other Atlantic City” by Turiya S. A. Raheem (born Lillian D. Thomas), you see that all of this was in Atlantic City during the 1920s. She talked about her grandfather who owned Wash’s Inn and many of the great Black-owned restaurants and nightclubs and other businesses. Ralph Hunter often talks about the thriving black middle class that we had back then.

That was called America’s “Return to Normalcy”, when we had Republican Presidents and when Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and most of the states.

Yes, there was Jim Crow segregation in the old South run by your Confederate Democrats back then. But most Americans had no idea what was going on in there until World War II and the Korean War. That was when my father, and what we often call the “Greatest Generation” were sent to military bases in the South. That is when they saw how badly Blacks were treated there. And I know for a fact that my father and the people who served with him did not tolerate that bigotry when they got back from the war. They demanded change.  The overwhelming majority of that generation, the parents of us Boomers demanded change and voted for that change.  Martin Luther King was just part of it. He didn’t do the whole thing by himself.

And by the way, it’s also important to remember that Martin Luther King helped change things by making speeches and organizing protests. King also organized the Montgomery, Bus Boycott. Everything that Martin Luther King did was made possible by George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Above Image: Iconic German Painting of George Washington Crossing the Delaware and Inspiring the World in 1776. At one time, every school in America taught every student about the achievements of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln during the month of February. George Washington’s birthday was celebrated every February 22. Abraham Lincoln’s birthday was celebrated on February 12.

Above Image: President Abraham Lincoln Delivering His Famous Speech at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in 1863.

George Washington who, gave us our independence. He also gave us our Constitution that protects the right of every American to free speech and free assembly.  And by the way, if you read the First Amendment of our Constitution, it guarantees the right to “peaceably assemble to petition the government for a redress of grievances”. It does not protect the right to barge into a private church and harass people who are worshipping.  But that’s something else.

And then there was Abraham Lincoln. He was one of 310,000 white Americans who fought and died to free Blacks from slavery. He was one of millions of white Americans who amended our Constitution three times to guarantee equal rights for Black Americans.

All of this made it possible for Martin Luther King to make his speeches and organize his protests. Without them, Martin Luther King and his followers would have been arrested, rounded up and executed like in Communist China or Islamic Iran.

So, it is absolutely wrong for our schools to be teaching their students about Martin Luther King without also teaching about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  That is what our schools used to do in February, before they invented Black History Month. They celebrated the birthday of George Washington on February 22 and the birthday of Abraham Lincoln on February 12.

And there’s one final point about the Montgomery Bus Boycott that Martin Luther King organized in 1955 and 1956. Even in the Old Confederate Democrat Jim Crow South, Blacks had achieved such great economic success that more than 300 families owned cars or taxis. Because of that, they created and ran their own transportation system without buses for more than a year.

And that would not have been possible if it had not been for Republicans like Abraham Lincoln and Republicans who made that prosperity possible for so many Black Americans during the 50 years after the Civil War, including the Return to Normalcy of the 1920s.
