FAKE RECYCLING IS A TYPICAL LIBERTY ISSUE FOR BREAKFAST DISCUSSIONS:
Fake recycling is a typical liberty issue. The government forces all of us to sort out our garbage. Then we waste time and fossil fuel washing the plastic and the cans so we don’t attract bugs. We waste salaries and gas having it picked up on different days by different crews with different sets of trucks. And it’s all fake. It’s all a total scam. They hardly recycle anything. They put your plastic on trucks and take it to ships in Bayonne. From there it goes to some third world country in Asia or Africa. There it gets dumped near a river and ends up polluting our oceans. So, if you have an issue like that, and think you are the only person bothered by it, you should come to our Saturday breakfast and talk about it. You may find a lot of folks who agree with you. 4 BIG LIES IN 30 SECOND MIKIE SHERRILL TV AD.
But to go back to, Mikie Sherrill. She’s the Democrat who’s running for, Governor against Republican Jack Ciattarelli. It is absolutely infuriating to watch her 30 second TV spots spouting one blatant lie after another. And, of course, anyone who listens to this program or comes to our breakfasts or website, or gets our emails recognize those lies. However, most people don’t. That is why is is the job of everybody listening to this program, and everybody who follows us to talk to our spouses, our kids, and grandkids and everyone we know to tell them the truth.
These lies are more serious than whether she helped cover up cheating at the Naval Academy years ago. Mikie Sherrill did not graduate in June with the rest of her class. She had to stay at the Naval Academy for an extra eight months. She says she didn’t cheat, but that she would not cooperate with the investigation to say who did. That’s part of the issue. a bigger part was the Democrat agenda of so-called “diversity, equity and inclusion”. Democratic Presidents like Clinton, Obama and Biden forced the service academies to take in a lot of people who were just not qualified to be there in the first place. So, of course, they created a culture of cheating to get people to graduate. And it looks like one of the people who was cheating was Mikey Sherrill’s husband, who was also in the academy. So you have that whole mess.
But to me, the biggest lies are in the Mikie Sherrill TV commercials. I’ve never before seen so many lies packed into one 30 second spot like that before. They start by pretending that Mikie Sherrill was a heroic combat helicopter pilot. They don’t tell you that Mikie Sherrill spent most of her time in the military behind a desk, working on some headquarters on land. Her main achievement was being an expert on Russian policy for the admiral in Naples, Italy.
Then Mikie Sherrill says, “On day one, I’m going to declare a state of emergency to freeze all electric bills for one year. Now how can she possibly do it. First, she can’t claim there is an emergency. We have a shortage of electricity because Governor Murphy shut down six productive electric power plants during the past eight years and never replaced them. We all know that one of them, was by the big Garden State Parkway bridge near Ocean City Bridge at Mile Post 30 at Beesley’s Point. Mikie Sherrill never called that an emergency. She said this was good. She we should pay “an arm and a leg” for clean energy. Of course, there’s nothing clean at all about solar panels and wind turbines. They don’t work because you can’t power an electric grid that with energy that shuts down every time a cloud goes by or every time the wind changes speed. You have to have back-up plants burning coal, gas or oil. And since we don’t have those plants in New Jersey anymore, we have to buy that electricity from hundreds of miles away.
Second, Mike Sherrill can’t use a so-called state-of emergency to freeze electric rates. She ought to know that we have something called a Constitution. That Constitution says that the government can’t take private property without “just compensation”. The government can’t force a private business to sell something for less than it costs to make it or less than it costs to buy it.
But let’s go along and say Mikie Sherrill does have the power to declare a State of Emergency. Suppose Governor Sherrill says that Atlantic City Electric can’t charge customers extra to buy expensive electricity out of state. What happens then? How are we going to get electricity if New Jersey is now producing only half of the electricity we use each day. Do you think those power plants hundreds of miles away are going to lose money selling electricity to New Jersey? Where’s the money going to come from? Higher taxes?
The bottom line is that Mikie Sherrill is lying through her teeth. She knows that he so-called “state of emergency” would get thrown out by the courts in less than an hour. So this part of Mikie Sherrill’s TV ad is ridiculous. The only one who makes any sense is Republican Jack Ciattarelli. He has been telling us for years that the only way to bring down electric rates is to reopen, rebuild or replace the six power plants that, Governor Murphy shut down. Some of them you could re-open by clicking a switch. You could quickly re-open the closed nuclear power plant at Oyster Creek in Lacey Township. The power plant at Beesley’s Point is a bigger problem. The Democrats couldn’t just put that power plant in mothballs to see if the wind turbines worked. They demolished the whole plant, the smokestack and the cooling tower. But you can even rebuild that quickly. There are natural gas pipelines nearby. The electric transmission lines are still in place. So is the zoning and permits. You can do fast track construction there and get something with natural gas open pretty quickly.
So everything in that Mikie Sherrill TV ad is total lie. I have to admire how Democrats can pack so many lies into just 30 seconds!
And I forgot to mention one more big lie. She claims she was a tough prosecutor. No, Mikie Sherill was not a prosecutor. That is a lie! If you look at her resume, you see she spent four years with a woke law firm that sued big companies to promote all sorts of woke causes. Then she worked at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Newark for five years. But she wasn’t a prosecutor. Her title was “outreach and re-entry coordinator”. Her job was to get criminals counseling, housing and jobs when they got out of prison. In her last year, they made Mikie Sherrill a prosecutor to fluff up her resume. However, she quit before she did any real prosecuting. They had her plea bargain about two dozen marijuana possession cases during her last few months. Then she looked for a job in what she called the field of criminal justice reform, whatever that is. But she never found a job. After a year, she started running for Congress.
Then in 2017, somebody gave Mikie Sherrill $2.7 million to win the Democratic Primary Election for the House of Representatives. And in 2018, Mike Sherrill won the Democratic nomination. Then she defeated the Republican Jay Weber during the Nancy Pelosi Blue Wave of 2018. By the way, I won the Republican Primary election that same year with only $30,000.
So now you see all the lies in Mikie Sherrill’s 30 second TV ad. She pretends that she was a combat helicopter pilot, but she spent most of her time in the navy on land behind a desk. She says she’s going to freeze electric bills, but she knows she can’t. She calls herself a prosecutor, but all she did was help criminals.
And then she has another ad where she claims she’s going to cut property taxes. But she can’t do that either. That is because New Jersey has a state income tax that is supposed to be dedicated to property tax relief. However, the Democrats have misused that income tax for the past 40 years. Instead of using that money to cut everybody’s property taxes, Democrats use 80% of that money to cut property taxes in just a handful of Democrats run cities. Everyone in suburban Republican towns pays more. There’s no way a Democrat like Mikie Shirrell is going to take income tax money away from corrupt, mismanaged Democrat cities to cut property taxes in well-run Republican suburbs.
By the way, this is why you have such low property taxes in towns like Atlantic City, Pleasantville, Bridgeton , Camden and Newark even though you have so much waste, fraud and corruption there. Meanwhile, all the suburbs that vote Republican get clobbered with high property taxes. This is what Democrat Governor Corzine did, this is what Murphy did and Democrat Mikie Sherrill will do the same thing if she’s elected.
JOHN DEMASI: So, it it’s just incredible, the lies you have there. And you know what? The thing is people don’t know that they’re lies, and they believe it. And then, oh, yeah. “We’re going to vote for her”. And all these things she promised she can’t do anything about. That that that’s the bottom line. Yeah. It’s a shame, but we’ve got to get the word out.
WE NEED LIMITS ON IMMIGRATION TO BE SAFE. WE NEED DEPORTATIONS TO ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAWS.
SETH GROSSMAN: And we also have to get the word out with Trump. Trump is doing the right things in so many ways. But what he does not do, and it’s just not part of his nature, is to think of what he says before he says it and think of how the media will report on what he says. You can’t accuse Trump of doing is choosing his words carefully. So let’s talk about Trump sending troops into the cities. Donald Trump has every right to send federal troops into any city to enforce our federal immigration laws. No doubt about that. And your your ICE, your Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are doing a job that needs to be done. We talk about it over and over again. We have 8 billion in the world. And of them, 2 billion live in extreme poverty. That is because they have cultures and governments that discourage people from producing wealth and feeding themselves. So they’re hungry. The only solution is to help them change. We should help them adopt a culture and have a government that protects individuals and their property. That would make them safe and prosperous. That would let them live the American Dream in their own countries. But if people live their whole lives thinking that the way to get rich and successful is to take stuff from somebody else, and if you bring millions of people with that attitude into our country, they’re just going to tear us down everything we have, and they are not going to have a better life. They’re just going to make America a failed country just as bad as what they were running away from. So, we have to enforce immigration laws.
We learned during Trump’s first term that building a wall is not enough. Building a wall may slow down illegal immigrants, but it does not stop them. That is because no matter how high you build the wall, some people will manage to get through. If people know that if they somehow make it through, they will never be deported, they will keep trying until they succeed. They will try once, twice ten times, as often as it takes as long as they know they are protected once they are in. That’s what happened during Trump’s first term.
Look at the big difference now, during Trump’s second term. This time, Trump is deporting people who are in this country illegally. Yes, it’s ugly to watch the videos of these people. They say, “I’m not a criminal. I just want to work. Why are you deporting me?” It is horrible to watch. But we have to look at the big picture. For the first time in forty years, we have zero illegal immigration at the border.
And this is not because we have bigger walls. It’s because people who want to come here illegally are saying, what’s the point of getting through the wall if I’m just going to get thrown right out. And the mafias and cartels that bring these people in now know that they’re not going to get paid. So, they aren’t in that business anymore. Unfortunately, there is no other way to enforce our immigration laws.
Now of course, the Democrats are fighting this tooth and nail. They love illegal immigrants. Their money and power depend on them. Illegal immigrants in blue states give them more representatives in Congress and more electoral votes to pick the President. They get a bigger share of welfare payments and all these other programs. New Jersey alone, we have, we have about 600,000 illegal immigrants. There is one seat in the House of Representatives for every 600,000 people. So illegal immigrants cost New Jersey a fortune in higher taxes and health insurance bills, but Democrats get an extra seat in Congress.
KEEPING CRIMINALS IN PRISON IS KEY TO STOPPING CRIME.
That’s why Democrats are fighting Trump so hard in Chicago. And Trump is doing the right thing. But here is where I think Trump gets careless. If you would just stick to that, explanation, which is the correct and legal explanation, nobody could have any question with them. But to say that you’re going to use federal troops to stop local crime is a problem. First, it‘s not constitutional and there are federal laws against that. Second, we don’t need soldiers to stop urban crime. If you talk to anybody, liberal, conservative, academics, police officers, they’ll tell you the problem is not that we don’t have enough police to arrest. We are arresting most of the criminals. The problem is judges and politicians like Governor Murphy who pardons everybody and gives early releases. We also have these crazy bil laws that put criminals back out on the street as soon as we arrest them.
It’s a statistical fact that about 4% to 6% of the population is committing something like, 80 to 90% of the crimes. So all we have to do is identify the people we’re already arresting and keep them in prison. That would make our cities safe instantly! But instead of talking about the obvious, we’re giving the illusion that somehow, we can let all those criminals loose on the streets, but that somehow lot of National Guard troops driving around will make us safer.
This may make us a little safer for a short time. However, if you don’t put the criminals away, the criminals will be out doing crimes as soon as the Guardsmen go home. And you can’t keep the guardsmen out for years and years. The Guardsmen all have to go back to their regular jobs to pay their bills.
JOHN DEMASI: Man, you got a lot to talk about today.
BARI WEISS AND FREE PRESS HAVE CBS REPORTING REAL NEWS AGAIN.
SETH GROSSMAN: By the way, there is some hopeful news. We always talk about the the biased news media. And if anybody is white watching television news, you’ll see something refreshing taking place on CBS News, which is Channel 10, WKYW in our area. There is a remarkable woman name Bari Weiss, and my Millennial/Generation X daughter put me on to her. She used to be one of the editors of the New York Times. And about five years ago, she got fired by the New York Times because she tried to present, impartial journalism and have some conservative opinions represented in the editorial page.
However, the New York Times fired her. That is because the New York Times is a hard left radical left socialist communist whatever you want to call it, hate-America propaganda tool. So the New York Times fired Bari Weiss and a bunch of other very good journalists who had integrity. That’s how they kept the newspaper so radical. However, Bari Weiss did something that nobody else did before. She formed her own online newspaper called the Free Press. And I didn’t know anything about it. However, my 40 year old daughter, and my son-in-law and many of their friends were following her and getting straight, impartial news.
To make a long story short, that Free Press online newspaper created by Bari Weiss just got bought out by Paramount for $150 million. And now Bari Weiss is running CBS News. And I’ve been watching CBS News. I am now seeing impartial, objective news on CBS. This is the first time I’ve seen a major TV network do this in many, many years. So, there is a little bit of good news out there.
JOHN DEMASI: We’ll have to I’ll have to watch that. CBS News.
MSNBC “EXPERT” USES DISHONEST TECHNICALITY TO ACCUSE ISRAEL OF “GENOCIDE”.
SETH GROSSMAN: And finally, I’ll leave with this. The other networks are so biased, I was watching MSNBC. And what shocked me is they had some radical left, Islamic professor from Rutgers University on as its so-called expert. And she accused Israel of genocide in Gaza. And when I watched her, I saw the legal loophole that the left is using to falsely accuse Israel of genocide in Gaza. What is happening in Gaza is typical urban guerrilla warfare. It’s identical to what the US army faced in Iraq, in Fallujah, in Mosul, in Hue, in Vietnam, and in Okinawa in World War 2. When the enemy is dug in in in a city and shooting from houses with women and children nearby, you will have to attack them there and there will be some civilian casualties. But that’s not genocide. Israel is doing the same thing or was doing the same thing in Gaza. So why do they call it genocide for Israel? They’re saying because Israel has the intention to eliminate the Palestinian people. And that magically turns normal, urban warfare into genocide.
But Israel has no intention to destroy a people. Israel is simply saying the obvious. There is such thing as a Palestinian people. An Arab living in Gaza or the West Bank in Palestine is the same as an Arab living in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, or Lebanon. They all speak the same language, have the same religion, sing the same songs, eat the same food and share the same culture. There is no difference between them whatsoever. But because Jews in Israel say there is no such thing as a separate Palestine nation or separate Palestine people, these fake legal experts are saying that this is legal intention to commit genocide. The whole idea of Palestine is fake. The whole free Palestine movement was invented by Communist Russia in the 1960’s during the Cold War as a propaganda tool. At that time, people felt sorry for Israel because it was a small country being attacked by big countries like Egypt and Syria. And so the Communists invented Palestine to be a country that was smaller than Israel. So, there is no genocide in Gaza.
But there is real genocide going on elsewhere that nobody is talking about. Real genocide is when the Germans and Nazis in World War two took everybody with a Jewish grandparent and killed them. Genocide is what the Muslims are doing in Africa right now to the Christians. Genocide where they go up to people and say, “Are you a Christian?” If you say yes, they kill you on the spot. If you say you are a Muslim, they say, “Say a Muslim prayer”. And if you can’t do it they kill you. It’s what they did the the Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. They would actually strip the men to see if they were circumcised or not. If they were not, they were killed. That is real genocide. But the media and the UN are not saying anything about that. Instead, they are falsely using the word genocide to describe the dirty, urban guerrilla war that Israel is fighting. They are really angry that Israel is actually winning–something America was unwilling to do in Iraq and Afghanistan. And that double standard is all based on that dishonest technicality. The idea that Israel is guilty of genocide because it refuses to admit that the Arabs of Gaza are part of a separate Palestinian people.
That lie is presented as fact on networks like MSNBC. So, if I were you, I’d watch, you know, CBS TV network news instead run by Bari Weiss.
