KATE SMITH TEXTBOOK CASE OF HOW “WOKE” LEFT DESTROYS GOOD PEOPLE TO CONTROL THE CULTURE.
SETH GROSSMAN: It is interesting that you were talking about Kate Smith. That is a classic example of how the left runs a hate campaign of lies to advance their agenda. That’s what they did to Kate Smith in 2019. Just out of the blue, one leftist said it is racist to play “God Bless America” by Kate Smith during Yankee baseball games. And then for weeks, all you heard was “The New York Yankees stopped playing “God Bless America” at its home games because “Kate Smith sang racist songs during the 1930s”. You heard that every day on TV, and at the top and bottom of every hour on the radio. Like a drumbeat. “Kate Smith sang racist songs during the 1930s”. And within a week, “God Bless America” was cancelled from American culture. The song was gone. Kate Smith’s statue disappeared from in front of the Spectrum in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Flyers stopped playing the song. They even pressured Sunset Beach in Cape May to stop playing the song. And Kate Smith was such an easy target. She was long dead and hardly anybody defended her.
And everything they said about Kate Smith and her songs was a lie. The truth was the exact opposite. Kate Smith was a Civil Rights pioneer! She was defending Black Americans against racist white Democrats. In 1915, Democrats released a horrible, racist propaganda movie called Birth of a Nation. It was designed to whip up hatred against Blacks and Republicans to re-elect President Woodrow Wilson. That movie, Birth of a Nation, falsely portrayed Black Americans as doing all these horrible things as if it were historical fact. That one hate movie revived the KKK after it was dead for 40 years.
That is when Kate Smith and a lot of heroic whites and many Republicans stood up to defend Black Americans and debunk the lies of white racists. Kate Smith did it through entertainment. She promoted the music of brilliant Black composers, bands and entertainers coming out of Harlem. They called it the Harlem Renaissance.
Kate Smith sang their songs and invited them to her national radio program. Kate Smith did more to defeat the KKK and overcome racism in the 1920s and 1930s than anyone in America.
And look what the woke Democrats did to Kate Smith and her songs 75 years later. They lied about her and called her a racist because her songs used words that were used by Black Americans every day and written in the songs that they wrote, sang and enjoyed.
This “woke” propaganda is very dangerous. People get killed by it. When they hear over and over again. “This person’s a racist. This person’s a racist. She’s evil. Hate. Hate. Hate”. That’s all it takes. You can have thousands of people listening to those messages. And it just takes one person who’s a little bit off to act on them. And then somebody gets beat up, somebody gets killed, the fire gets set.
So, you really have to whenever you see that those lies being spread, you really have to stand up, tell the truth and set the record straight right away. Because if you don’t, the lies will sink in and total lies will be accepted as undisputed facts. . .
WALL STREET JOURNAL STATES OBVIOUS: GOVERNOR MURPHY AND DEMOCRATS “CAUSED ELECTRICITY PRICES TO SOAR”.
SETH GROSSMAN: On of the most important issues right now, is our high electric bills. The Press of Atlantic City published a Fairleigh-Dickenson University poll on our high electric bills. It basically said that most voters are angry at high electric bills. But most people have no idea as to why they are high or who to blame. Roughly 26% blame the utility companies, 19% blame Governor Murphy, 10% say the energy producers are at fault. And of course, some blame the federal government, which means Trump.
There is no reason for this confusion. There is one simple and undisputed reason for our high electric bills. During the past eight years. Governor Murphy and the Democrats shut down six vital power plants. One of them was right here, at Beesley’s Point by the Parkway Bridge in Upper Township. Murphy blocked the conversion of that Beesley’s Point plant from oil to natural gas. And because these Democrats shut down six power plants, New Jersey now has to buy electricity from the most expensive sources out of state. No issue could be more simple than that. And yet most voters in New Jersey have no clue.
So we urgently have to get that message out. I know that Jack Ciattarelli is doing the best he can. But he is only one guy. And as I said when we were talking about Kate Smith, getting the truth out is really the job of everybody. That means talking to your kids. It means going to meetings. It means writing letters to the editor. The truth about this is so obvious. And by the way, the Wall Street Journal, put an article that clearly documented everything I just told you.
New Jersey has the 12th highest electric rates in the country. We’re pretty high. And there’s only one reason why we don’t have the highest rates in the country. We are lucky to have two nuclear reactors in Salem that produce 42% of the state’s electricity for dirt cheap. If we didn’t have that nuclear plant with those two reactors there, we definitely have the highest electric rates in the country.
JOHN DEMASI: Oh, jeez. That’s that’s good news. Yeah. So at least at least they haven’t screwed that up yet. You know, they closed Beesley’s Point, but if they ever, shut down the Salem plant, we’d be in big trouble.
SETH GROSSMAN: Well they did shut down a very efficient nuclear plant in Oyster Creek, in Lacey Township. But that’s a different story.
DEMOCRATS ATTACKING VAN DREW FOR DOING RIGHT THING ON “BEACH REPLENISHMENT”.
SETH GROSSMAN: Meanwhile, Democrats are blasting Jeff Van Drew for “failing shore communities” and not getting, $100 million for “beach replenishment” this year. As we said last week, Jeff and the Republicans in Congress did the right thing. I mean, Jeff Van Drew understands that you can’t stop the ocean from moving sand from one place to another. And if you’re going to spend $100 million, spend it on something that’s going to last, not something that’s going to wash away in a few hours during a bad storm. And it’s unfair and unconstitutional to force, you know, you know, taxpayers in Hammonton to pay to protect a $2 million house in in Longport.
By the way, one of your listeners approached me at our breakfast last week and said, “Not only does the guy in Hammonton or Philadelphia have to pay taxes to protect somebody’s beach house in Longport, If that guy wants to go to the Longport beach to enjoy the sand he paid for, he has to pay for a Longport beach tag just to get there. So that adds insult to injury!
And finally, for those who say, “It’s only $100 million. Van Drew should lobby to get $100 million to help folks who live by the beach. And we talked about that last week. If Van Drew asks for $100 million in our district, he has to support $100 million projects for about 300 House and Senate members who also want $100 million projects in their districts. So if we have to pay for 300 $100 million projects, we are spending $30 billion.
And I know I said that last week, but I think there’s certain things we have to just say over and over again until it sinks in.
JOHN DEMASI: That that sunk in for me right away.
SETH GROSSMAN: Well, we need to talk to some others.
TRUMP DEPORTATIONS CUT CRIME. MEDIA WON’T REPORT IT.
One of the biggest stories around the country is that crime has gone down a lot throughout the country during the past six months. And this is also a big New Jersey story. I spoke with Jack Ciattarelli this morning. He told me that prosecutors around New Jersey are telling him that they have seen big reductions in crime during the past six months. And throughout the country, murders are down 17%, every level of violent crime is down substantially.
I was watching CBS News a few days ago, and they actually covered this story. But they interviewed this police chief from Chicago. And that Chicago police chief was bragging about his new gentle community policing. But everybody knows what is really causing crime to go down.
Crime is down because Trump cracked down on illegal immigration. We have fewer drugs coming in. We have less fentanyl coming in. We have fewer dangerous criminals coming in. We’ve arrested a lot of illegal alien criminals and taken them off the street. And even more important, the other illegal alien criminals who didn’t get arrested yet are behaving themselves lately. They know there are consequences for breaking the law now!
And now that there are fewer illegal alien criminals, hurting people, the police have more time to deal with other criminals in other parts of the community. The connection between Trump enforcing, immigration laws and deporting illegals and reduction of violent crime and saving lives and property is as obvious as it can be. But the media will not even come close to reporting that connection. Instead, they only report people who have not committed crimes getting arrested.
But you can’t just enforce the law against people we don’t like. We have to apply the law equally to everyone. For the last thirty years, we did not enforce immigration laws at all. Now, we are enforcing it. It’s going to be messy at the beginning. However, we have to get respect for the law again, and it’s working.
JOHN DEMASI: It is. Yes. It is. That that’s good news. That’s good news.
SETH GROSSMAN: And that’s why groups like our Liberty and Prosperity are so important. You are not going to see this on your national TV news. You are not going to read this in the 360 Section of the Press of Atlantic City that eventually comes in the mail. You are not going to hear this on the top of the hour news on national radio. When you learn important facts like these, you need to share them. Share our posts on Facebook or Twitter. Forward them to your kids. I apologize for repeating myself. However, it is everybody’s responsibility to get the truth out on all these issues.

DR. ROBERT MARBUT: MOST “HOMELESS” NEED TREATMENT AND CONFINEMENT FOR MENTAL ILLNESS & DRUG ADDICTION
SETH GROSSMAN: And talking about getting the truth out. Harry Hurley did a great job yesterday with the homeless problem. You see the headlines. “We have more homeless then ever” and “We need to spend more money on homes for the homeless”. Harry had a great guest. A guy called Dr. Robert Marbut. He was the homeless czar for Trump and Biden. And he worked in Texas. Dr. Marbut pointed out the obvious that, 80% to 90% of all the homeless are there because they have untreated mental illness or drug abuse. We need to reinstate mental facilities to confine people who cannot control themselves or take care of themselves. And we cannot encourage this drug abuse.
According to Dr. Marbut, in 1950 we had 500,000 patients in mental hospitals throughout America. Now we have more than double the population, but only 30,000 people in mental institutions. The rest of them are out in our streets, sidewalks, beaches, parks malls and libraries. The public needs to enjoy and feel safe in the public property that we pay for. We have to get back to common sense. Harry did an excellent fifteen-minute, interview. I hope he posts a summary of that as an article so we can all read it.
JUSTICE REQUIRES A REASONABLE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS.
Next now this is I’m going to say something, pretty controversial. But a lot of times as a lawyer, you see real injustice, because the law is really doesn’t make sense. And yet because, it’s a sensitive political issue, any politician who would try to fix it and do the right thing will ruin his or her political career. I’m talking about the headline from a couple of days ago: “Woman wins $3 million in Margate sex assault case”. Basically, in 1979, a 24 year old Margate lifeguard had a relationship with a 15 year old mother’s helper in Margate. You know, something that was sort of common back then, not as common today. And that relationship continued for another couple years. the relation continued until after the girl was of age.
We used to have a two year statute of limitation for lawsuits like this. And if you were under the age of 21, you had two years after you turned 21 to bring a lawsuit. So if this girl felt aggrieved, after she turned 21, when she was 23 years old, she could have brought that lawsuit, which would have been 1987.
But because in 2019 with the Me Too movement, they got rid of that statute of limitations. They allowed this woman to bring the lawsuit a couple years ago, and it just went to trial last Friday. And the jury gave a verdict of $3 million against the lifeguard who’s now 70 years old. The woman who brought the complaint is now 61 years old. And you have to ask yourself, what kind of justice is that? How can you defend yourself against a charge for something that had happened 46 years ago. Where are the witnesses? And the taxpayers of Margate settled their part of the case by paying $460,000 before the trial. Why should taxpayers in Margate today be legally responsible for something that happened before half of them were born?
And as for the woman who brought the complaint, there is a thing called false memory. And a lot of times, when a relationship breaks up, people get bitter. And as they get older, they remember things that didn’t happen. So that’s why I thought it made a lot of sense for hundreds of years to have, a statute of limitations that say if something wrong is done, you must bring the claim within a reasonable amount of time. Two years, four years, six years, or six years after you turn 21. But to allow someone to bring a lawsuit over something that happened 46 years ago, you know, unless it’s murder, I mean, I just, think it’s unjust. But again, if any politician dared to say this, that politician’s career would be over.
JOHN DEMASI: And, it’s a shame. Yeah. That that’s a that’s a real tough one. That is a real tough one. That that that’s really I didn’t hear about that, but thanks for bringing it up.
SETH GROSSMAN: Well the taxpayer of Margate certainly heard about it. They’re paying $465,000 for it.

One final point. I want to mention what what’s going on in Israel today, you know, people actually believe that Israel is starving babies, that Israel is killing children, all these horrible lies that are being told told about Jews, told about Israel. And it’s getting very dangerous to be openly Jewish even here in America. I’ve known Jews if you wear the the yarmulke, the kippah, the head covering, if if you’re on the beach and wearing a Jewish star or so the things that people normally do or where a Jewish themed t shirt, there’s a good chance you’re gonna be confronted and and beaten up or, or or even worse. And and the reason for this, it’s not just what’s happening in Israel. It’s that for the past sixty years, there’s been this narrative that, the Arabs were living peacefully in, in Palestine, and the Jews came and took their land. And what happened is, there’s a whole British commission found out that the land that the Jews settled on in Israel was malaria infested swamp. It was desert. It was sand dunes that nobody else wanted. The Jews paid top dollar for it, and it was only after they made those that worthless land productive that the Arabs moved into those areas. And the British Peel Commission did a whole study on that in 1937, but it’s not being taught in our schools. The media never mentions it.
