9.27.25. Seth Grossman WPG Radio. Democrats Win If Election About Trump. Republicans Win By Reminding Voters that Ciattarelli Is An Accountant Who Knows How To Lower Taxes & Electric Bills. And Who Opposes “Woke” Madness Like Shirrell’s “Reparations.” Tucker Carlson Dog Whistle?
SETH GROSSMAN: When it comes to free speech, Democrats forget that they have been smothering the free speech of Republicans and conservatives for the past fifteen years. That whole Citizens United case was where conservatives just wanted to run a movie before an election, a biography of Hillary Clinton and the Obama government tried to say it was a crime to do that. Democrats said it was a violation of the Election Law. There were all those times when our group, Liberty and Prosperity was knocked off of Facebook. We were knocked off Twitter before, Elon Musk bought it and made it a free speechplatform.
So Democrats have been smothering speech for years.
Right now, Trump is doing the same stuff that Democrats were doing, which in my opinion is equally wrong. But we’ve got to put things in perspective. In fact, our whole organization libertyandprosperity.com, is a tax-exempt education organization. And we were approved routinely by when George Bush was president.
But when Obama became president, he made a rule that any organization seeking tax exempt would be automatically rejected if it had the word “liberty” anywhere in its name. Free speech is very important, and I’m glad Democrats are starting to understand that. But they did not defend free speech at all when they were in control and when Republicans and conservatives were being shut down and silenced.
But I think the big issue is that Democrats know that every time people are talking about Trump, Democrats get energized, women and young people get energized, and they vote for Democrats. So that’s why when you had the debate last week between Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Mikie Shirell the Democrat candidate for Governor of New Jersey, every single answer that Mikie Shirell gave mentioned Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.
The headline in the Press of Atlantic City said “Trump at center of debate between Ciccarelli and Sherrill. Democrats want Trump to be the key issue in this campaign for Governor. They believe this will help them win. I believe Democrats when it comes to one thing.
I believe they understand the mechanics of what it takes to win elections. They do polling, they do focus groups, they do all the science that goes into measuring and manipulating public opinion.
So if they think talking about Trump all the time is how Democrats can win this election, I’ll take their word for it.
I agree that if Trump is, talked about constantly, Mikie Sherrill and the Democrats will win this election. But if we talk about issues that relate to New Jersey, that relate to Mikie Sherrill and her qualifications, and Jack Ciattarelli and his qualifications, the Jack Ciattarelli and the Republicanswill win.
And, we saw during the past week, the shock poll came out, showing that Chiattarelli is even with Mikey Charette, both at about 43%. Until now, it had been Mikie Sherill with about 46%, to 47% and Jack Ciattarelli at about 37% to 38%. So Sherrill had a lied of about 8% to 9% all this time. Now that lead has evaporated. It’s gone.
And the other interesting thing goes to what we talked about last week. Democrats are leading among voters under 50 years old.
Jack Ciattarelli is overwhelmingly winning voters over 50 years old. And most people listening to this program are voters over 50.
So I want to congratulate your listeners for talking to their kids and their grandkids during the past couple of weeks. We’re not asking you or anyone to bully or threaten. It’s just that we older folks have experience. We’ve seen liars come and go. We know who’s telling the truth and who’s not because we’ve had years of experience dealing with it.
We have to have those conversations with the younger folks to let them know what’s going on. We have to share our knowledge and experience with what issues are important and affect our lives. And to recognize the BS that candidates say during an election that’s forgotten right afterwards.
Of course, one of the big issues is our electric bills, which affect everybody. They affect jobs, they affect taxes because everything we do needs electricity. And of course, it’s all documented and undisputed why our electric bills are so high.
Governor Murphy destroyed six power plants to promote his green agenda during his eight years in office. Because we lost those six power plants. New Jersey, for the first time in its history, is not producing enough electricity to meet our needs. We have to buy very expensive electricity from as far away as Canada.
And the Democrats and Mikie Shirrell are admitting, yeah, we know it’s going to cost an arm and a leg, but we’ve got to protect the planet. And all this is pure garbage. The wind turbines and solar panels don’t create any useful electricity. They don’t save any fossil fuel. We posted a lot of articles on our website explaining why and explaining the science.
This issue is clear. And Jack Ciattarelli is saying that his top priority is to rebuild those six power plants, make us self-sufficient in electricity again and bring down our electric bills. If Mikie Sherrill and the Democrats keep control of state government, we will still be buying expensive electricity from out of state. And they will screw up the billing system to add all sorts of “societal benefits” fees on businesses, government and upper income customers and give free or discounted electricity to their Democrat voter base, including illegal immigrants.
Another thing that that I noticed, I don’t know if you did, I got my South Jersey Gas bill a couple days ago and it was $45 Now that may not seem like a lot, but this was for my office. I didn’t use any natural gas during the past month, but I paid $45. It used to be a pay like a $10 or $15 service fee during the summer months when I didn’t use any gas.
Why did they increase it 300%? My guess is that Democrats are tacking extra fees onto all our utility bills to pay for their political programs and social justice. This pays the green energy programs, the free appliances for some lucky people, free and reduced bills for Democrat voters and illegal immigrants and so on.
These are costs that most people don’t even notice, let alone care about in an election. But this is the price we all pay for Democrat socialist government in New Jersey, which Murphy has brought in. And we need Jack Ciattarelli to get rid of it.
Florida gas: $2.84 per gallon
I just got back from Florida. Gas in Palm Beach County, Florida is now $2.84 a gallon. That’s 20 cents a gallon lower than here in New Jersey.

Florida always had much better roads and fewer tolls, but they paid about 20 to 30 cents a gallon than us in New Jersey. So now Florida still has better roads, no tolls, and we’re now paying 20¢ more a gallon.
I think it’s important to talk about these specific issues. The Democrats want to talk about Trump, Trump, Trump. But the best way Republicans can help Trump is to get Jack Ciattarelli elected.
The best way to get Jack Ciattarelli elected is to talk about these specific issues. Talk about Mikie Sherrill.
Mikie Sherrill is a lawyer. She is trying to sell herself as a helicopter pilot. But if you look at her military records, you see that she was a Private Benjamin. She never did any serious military work in the military.
Mikie Sherrill got out of the military academy. After a year or two, she had a Private Benjamin career as a glorified secretary for an admiral at the Fleet Headquarters in Virginia. I think she had to do 8 years minimum to pay for her free education at the Annapolis Naval Academy.

She didn’t gets minimal promotions for 9 years. Then she gets a promotion just before she left in her 10th year, probably to juice up her pension.
Then Mikie Sherrill goes to law school. Then she is immediately hired by Kirland and Ellis. That is a woke, politically connected billion-dollar law firm in New York City.

Above Images: Website of Kirkland and Ellis, Mikie Sherrill’s Former Law Firm, Promotes Its Commitment to “Woke” Left-Wing Causes.
After a few years as a lawyer promoting woke, social justice causes, Mikie Shirrell is hired by Obama to be a U.S. Attorney in Newark. There she promotes the Obama agenda until 2017 when she is properly prepared to run for Congress.
She gets elected to Congress during the Blue Wave of 2018 and has been a radical left-wing Obama-Pelosie Democrat in Congress since.
Real bombshell that I just found out about. Two years ago, Mikie Shirrell co-sponsored a proposed federal law to give reparations to black Americans. And I’m really shocked that this has not become a major campaign issue by now.
Reparations is a legal term. They are supposed to mean that if I do something wrong to you and cause you damage, I reimburse you for the damage I do. That is called reparations.
If I were a slave owner and you were my slave, I would have to compensate you for the years I made you work for me without pay. But coming around 170 years later and forcing whites, Asians, and Hispanics who never owned slaves to pay higher taxes to give money to blacks who never were slaves is NOT reparations. That’s robbery, and theft. And this is what Mikie Shirrell co-sponsored, two years ago.
Reparations is ridiculous to the great majority of Americans, whose families weren’t even in America when b blacks were slaves. Many of them were treated worse than slaves, in the old countries they came from. That includes immigrants from a lot of Asian countries like China, Korea and Cambodia. It includes Jewish Holocaust survivors who were slaves in concentration camps. At least black slaves in America had value to their masters.
Jewish slaves in the Holocaust had no value and were killed as soon as they could not work anymore.
And then we have the descendants of families who fought and died to free slaves during the Civil War. Why should they be forced to pay money to black Americans who were never slaves?
And there is an even bigger problem with reparations. And again Mikie Shirrell voted for this just two years ago. And she never said she regretted that vote or wouldn’t do it again. The biggest problem is that the Reparations Act of 2023 claims that all of the bad conditions that blacks are living in today were caused by slavery. But that is a big lie.
We all know that problems like poverty, crime, the lack of education, lack of health in the black community have nothing to do with slavery. They were all caused by the Democrat socialist welfare programs that started in the 1960s.
Every single problem in black communities today was on the verge of being fixed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. But then Lyndon Johnson and Ted Kennedy Democrats came along and socialists hijacked the Civil Rights movement, and we all know what happened then.
I hope that more, voters will be aware of how dangerous it would be if we have Mikie Sherrill, who believes in this reparation stuff, adds a Reparation Tax on top of every other high tax we have in New Jersey. It’s outrageous, and we need to be talking about it.
JOHN DEMASI: We certainly do. Is your group going to talk about it today?
SETH GROSSMAN: It’s certainly posted on our website. It it’s it will be talked about at the breakfast. It’s in our newsletter. And if you wanna know more about it, it, you know, just do you know, go there. So, again, I know I’m harping on the election between Jack Ciattarelli and, and and and Democrat Mikie Shirell, but all these other issues we have, we could keep talking about those issues, from now for the next couple of years. But if we lose this election, and, and we have Mikey Sherrill continuing what Phil Murphy is doing, we will never turn America around. And and this will have national impact. The rest of the country will be looking at, what happens in New Jersey, what happens in Virginia this, this November. We we can’t affect anything in Virginia, but we can certainly affect a whole lot that’s going on here in New Jersey. Yeah. We it is an important election. Really is.
Tucker Carlson Dog Whistle?
Tucker Carlson remarks. The truth? Careless laugh.
There’s one final key issue. There was a four-hour memorial service last Sunday in Phoenix for Charlie Kirk. I watched about an hour of it. There were dozens of speakers. And one of them was Tucker Carlson. He gave a six minute presentation.
I used to be a big fan of Tucker. In fact, one of your listeners invited me to meet him and hear him speak in Naples, Florida two years ago. But since then, Tucker went off in a different direction. And a lot of people are talking about what he said at that, Sunday memorial.
Now most of Tucker’s remarks about Charlie Kirk were very mainstream, and I agree with them 100%. Tucker correctly pointed out that Christianity made America different and better. I agree with the Christian idea that the key to happiness and success is not blaming others, but to make yourself a better person. Christians turn to Jesus, and the Lord’s Prayer reminds us of that. Jews share that basic idea. We all turn to the same Bible and that Bible takes us all to the same place.
We are all taught to ask ourselves, if something is not right in my life, what can I do to make myself a better person? How can I be better to others? How can I encourage others to be better to me? We take that basic American value for granted because we all grew up with it.
But that’s not what they are teaching our kids in our schools and colleges. It is not what is believed in many socialist and immigrant cultures. They are taught to believe that if somebody has something I don’t have, I’m a victim. I’m going to use lies, guns, protests, votes, or threats to someone who has what I want and take it. And that is OK because I am a so-called victim and I am taught to believe that the other person has unfair privilege.
Americans were always different. Our culture was shaped by people like Benjamin Franklin who said, “If I have a problem, I’m going to make myself better. I’m going to make my family better. I’m going to get married. I’m going to work with my family, I will build networks with others to make life better for all of us. Americans were always happier and more successful. And people who always blame others for what they don’t have usually fail and are miserable.
Tucker also said something else that we all agree with. Tucker Carlson also said that the people who killed Charlie Kirk wanted to shut him up. And, again, Charlie Kirk was not killed by just that one kid with the gun. He was killed by the endless propaganda that triggered him. For months, Democrats, woke socialists, the media, the Hollywood pop culture, the schools the transgender cult saturated young people with the idea that every problem in the world is caused by toxic white, Christian, heterosexual men. They were told that anyone who protects traditional American values is an evil fascist and ought to be killed. They did that for years. But during the past few months, they were mentioning Charlie Kirk by name.
Like I said last week, they were using the language of the mafia to order a hit. They were saying “I have a stone in my shoe”, and the name of that stone is Charlie Kirk. And they did it to shut people up. People like you, people like me, and people like Charlie Kirk. And, and Tucker Carlson correctly pointed out that as with Jesus, when you kill somebody to silence them, you only make the truth and the ideas they talked about more obvious.
And that was true with Charlie Kirk. I was in a synagogue in Florida, for the Rosh Hashanah Jewish New Year. And even though Charlie was Christian, and even though Tucker Carlson talked about Jesus, there were dozens of young Jews in that synagogue who were there for the first time in years. And they were inspired by Charlie Kirk. And, and Rick Shafton, who was my pollster and campaign consultant when I ran for Congress in 2018 told me Charlie Kirk’s message is helping all Republicans all over the country. And he said he thinks the Charlie Kirk effect is what caused the sudden increase in polling numbers for Jack Ciattarelli.
I may have seen part of this driving back from the airport, on Tilton Road on Thursday. I drove by the weekly protest that Democrats have outside the office of Congressman Jeff Van Drew in Northfield. I saw only maybe eight or eight or nine protesters there. So maybe, there is an effect, but we have to really build on that.
JOHN DEMASI: Yeah. That that you’re you’re right. You’re absolutely right.
SETH GROSSMAN: But there was one dark part of Tucker Carlson’s presentation that worried me. And that was his dog whistle. A dog whistle is a whistle that gives out a special high pitched sound that only dogs can hear. People can’t hear the sound. In politics, a dog whistle is a message designed to reach one small part of an audience and not be noticed by anyone else.
And Tucker’s dog whistle went like this. Tucker Carlson said, “You know, my favorite story is about, Jesus preaching the truth about the leaders in Jerusalem, and the leaders in Jerusalem didn’t want to hear the truth. So we have a a bunch of people eating hummus in Jerusalem saying, what are we going to do about this guy? And one of them says, well, let’s just kill him. That will shut him up. And then Tucker started laughing.
Now, I don’t know if if Tucker said this in a careless way, or if he did it as a deliberate dog whistle. But when you talk about the people who killed Jesus, many people were taught that “the Jews” killed Jesus. And certain people listening to Tucker’s remarks heard that in a way that made them think that Tucker Carlson believed that “the Jews” also killed Charlie Kirk.
That is a classic dog whistle. Because you and most people listening would have no reason to think that. That is because most people listening get our news from talk radio, the newspaper, and TV like Fox News and NewsNation.
However, most, people under the age of 30 go to TikTok, Instagram, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and social media like that. And on that media, there was a whole lot of accusations, without any evidence, that Jews and Israel killed Charlie Kirk. Now that Charlie Kirk is dead and can no longer tell the truth, anonymous people on the internet are saying that Charlie Kirk was planning to criticize Israel and that the Mossad, Israel’s spy agency killed him. The accusations were so bad that Netanyahu even had to make a statement to deny them. Which of course caused even more accusations to be made.
So when Tucker Carlson said that “a bunch of people eating hummous in Jerusalem killed Jesus to shut him up” just like a bunch of people killed Charlie Kirk to shut him up, a lot of people connected those dots and said, “Hey. Tucker Carlson is telling us that it’s OK to blame the Jews for killing Charlie Kirk.
And this puts Jews like me in an impossible position. If we criticize Tucker Carlson for saying this, anti-Semites will say, Tucker Carlson was only quoting the Bible. Are you attacking the Bible?
No. But I can say that Tucker Carlson misquoted the Bible. Even though I’m Jewish, I went to Duke University when it was a Methodist school. At that time, we were required to study both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible for a full year. And we studied the Bible the Methodist way, very thoroughly.
And Chapter 11 of the Gospel of John specifically tells us why the high priests in Jerusalem arrested Jesus. And it was NOT because Jesus was criticizing them, and it was not because they wanted to shut him up. Chapter 11 of the Gospel of John specifically states that the priests were afraid of the Romans, and that the Romans were afraid of the crowds that Jesus was attracting.
Chapter 11 of the Gospel of John says that the Jewish priests were afraid that if Jesus kept attracting large crowds, the Romans would take their Temple and country away from them. And that is why the Caiaphus, the chief priest said: It is better for one man to die for the people than for the whole country to perish.
And if you know Jewish history, you know that at this time, Jerusalem had about 50,000 people and it was controlled by a cohort of about a thousand Roman soldiers. And normally, the Romans were in total control of the city. However, during festivals like Passover and Pentecost, about 200,000 Jews from all over the world came to Jerusalem. And if those Jews rebelled against Rome, they would overwhelm the Roman soldiers.
And so it is easy to understand why the Romans would freak out if someone like Jesus came into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and thousands of Jews welcomed him into the city by waving palm leaves.
There are a lot of details to this story. But it is important to understand that most Jews loved Jesus, most Jews welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, Jesus had to be arrested in the middle of the night when most Jews were having their Passover seders, and that Jesus was brought to Pontius Pilate at the crack of dawn when most Jews were hungover from the Passover wine. We’ll talk about those details at our Liberty and Prosperity breakfast in Somers Point that starts at 9:30am every Saturday.
