Third “Homeless” Fire On Atlantic City Boardwalk In Less Than A Year.

Last Saturday, April 27, there was another “homeless” fire on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.  Nine days earlier, a similar fire underneath Atlantic City’s Central Pier destroyed dozens of Boardwalk businesses preparing to open for the 10 week tourist season. Last November, a large fire on the Boardwalk damages Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino.

On June 24, 2022, a fire broke out along the Atlantic City Boardwalk between Saint James Place and New York Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The flames spread across five businesses, causing damage and requiring the efforts of 60 firefighters to bring it under control. The affected businesses included Brick Oven PizzaHeavenly Stress TherapyRipley’s Believe It or NotDevki Jewelers, and H&A Fashion.

It is likely that all of these fires were started by some of the hundreds, of hoboes, tramps, bums and mentally ill people who live under the Boardwalk and ocean piers. Long time Boardwalk merchants, Bob and Abe Schiff had urged local and state officials to remove them for years by enforcing trespassing and public health laws.

Several years ago, schools, colleges, the media and Hollywood entertainment culture began using the word “homeless” to describe people who were previously described with the words hobo, bum,  tramp, ot mentally ill.  This was deliberately done to promote a political agenda. By using the word “homeless” the elites promoted a narrative that people could no longer afford to live in their own homes, and that government had to give them money, and allow them to live in public parks and sidewalks.  This is done as part of a carefully planned effort by a collection of communists, socialists, leftists, and “woke” opportunists to destroy every city in America and divide, weaken and destroy America.

When we used the words hobo, bum and tramp, we expected every capable adult to work to support themselves, comply with our laws, and respect others and their property.  Those who did not were punished with jail or poverty. Those who were physically or mentally unable to work or comply with the law were given charity, but also confined to institutions or otherwise placed under supervision.

By using the label “homeless” to describe them, we made them “victims” who are not held responsible for their choices. We instead tax those who work and produce to support them. We made it normal for them to ruin every business district in America by sleeping, littering, urinating, and defecating wherever they want.  In Atlantic City, it is also now normal for them to keep warm by lighting fires under highly combustible wooden piers and boardwalks as seashore resorts like Atlantic City.

Environmentalist and nuclear power advocate Michael Shellenberger described this in detail in is book San Fransicko.  Click here for link to a review of that book:  Michael Shellenberger: How Progressives Ruined American Cities (reason.com)
