Computer Models or Reality?

This is a very good article which asks the question what is the proof that human activity is causing a climate catastrophe.  Francis Menton describes the latest climate catastrophe proof which is attribution theory, a statistical theory. As he explains, the `attribution theory’ works mainly by assuming the parameters that `prove’ humans are causing a catastrophe and then buries them in sufficient statistical jargon that no one can understand them.  Thus proof is demonstrated, what could be more accurate?

Contrast `attribution theory’ with Richard Feynman’s, the Nobel winning physicist, description about proving a theory.

`It doesn’t matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn’t matter how smart you are. If it doesn’t agree with experiment, it’s wrong.’

Richard P. Feynman

Feynman required experiments and measurements of reality.  Reality has the final word.

In the current climate catastrophe analysis methods, reality must conform to computer models.
