Does Decarbonizing the Grid Merely Require Political Will?

  • Is replacing fossil fuels with wind and solar, decarbonizing the grid, mainly done by political will? The advocates believe so.
  • The problems with decarbonizing the grid are reliability, cost and storage.
  • How do the advocates address these problems? They do not. They do not know how to meet the engineering difficulties of decarbonizing the grid nor do they know the costs or the effect on reliability.
  • These issues are extremely well identified in the following article, which is written for decarbonizing the New York City grid. Replace New York with New Jersey and the same problems exist.

New York Has No Idea Whatsoever How To “Decarbonize” Its Electric Grid
