Weekly Update
Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Carisbrooke Inn, 105 S. Little Rock Avenue (Beach Block), Ventnor, New Jersey. Limited Seating Breakfast with speaker Frank Fiamingo of NJ Second Amendment Society at 11 A.M. for $250. Wine and Cheese Reception 1PM to 3PM. Admit One: $75. Admit 2: $100.

If you are alone, and cannot spend $75 on a ticket, please email info@libertyandprosperity.org and we will match you up with someone else in your situation to share a $100 ticket.

It is important to hear Frank Fiamingo. Although Frank leads a Second Amendment organization, his message goes far beyond guns. Frank will explain how he was too busy with business and family most of his life to care about politics. Only years later did he discover how badly he and the rest of us were betrayed by the people we trusted with the power and money of government?and what we must do about it.

We need you to get the attention of the Republican establishment. Why don?t Republicans in New Jersey stand up and fight back on the issues like these that concern us the most? Why don?t they work with us to advance these ideas? Apply the Constitution to limit government power?and borrowing, spending, and taxes. Apply the Constitution to enforce laws equally?or repeal them. Enforce immigration laws. Apply real science, to build oil and gas pipelines for abundant, reliable energy we can afford. Don?t triple our electric bills with ?green? energy projects that don?t work. Don?t dumb down and indoctrinate our kids with ?Common Core?, etc.

The short answer is that Republicans and Democrats alike care less about our ideas and principles, and more about votes– and the money and organizations that deliver them.
That is why Liberty and Prosperity works so hard on fundraising events like next Sunday’s event with Frank Fiamingo in Ventnor. Our elected officials already know we are well informed on the issues.
But we cannot win their respect unless we show we can organize a successful fund raising event that can raise $10,000. We should be able to do that. We need to sell ten $250 tickets for the 11 AM breakfast, and one hundred $75 tickets (or seventy-five $100 tickets) to the afternoon reception.

A successful fundraiser next Sunday will achieve two important goals. First, we will have enough money to reach tens of thousands of ?low information? voters with radio, TV and Facebook ads during the next six months. Second, we show that if conservatives like us can organize an event like this to raise money for a non-political cause today, conservatives in New Jersey can also raise serious money for or against political candidates tomorrow.

With one week to go, we are halfway to our goal. If you have not yet bought your ticket, please contact us right away. If you have trouble using our PayPal site, please email us at info@libertyandprosperity.org. Or call Seth Grossman at (609) 927-7333. Or simply mail your tax deductible check to Liberty and Prosperity 1776, Inc., 453 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ 08244. Your tickets will be mailed or held for you at the door.
Thank you for your support.

Regular Breakfast Discussion 9:30 A.M. Saturday, February 22 (once celebrated in America as George Washington’s Birthday) at the Shore Diner, Tilton and Fire Roads in Egg Harbor Township. Besides planning details for the next day’s fundraiser in Ventnor, we will also hear from Mike Assad, the conservative running against Frank LoBiondo for Congress in the Congressional District that includes Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, and parts of Gloucester Counties.

Do you have graphic or artistic talent? If so, can you volunteer to help us design our new basic brochure and postcard? We also need help to call our members and remind them to pay their 2014 dues. Can you help us by making some of those calls? If so, please contact us at info@libertyandprosperity.org or (609) 927.7333. Thanks.

Be a liberty candidate. Help a liberty candidate. Most Americans, even here in New Jersey, support most of our Eight Point Liberty Program posted in the lower right corner of www.libertyandprosperity.org. But most members of the Republican and Democrat political elites oppose us. It is nothing personal, just business. Independent, self-reliant, informed citizens who don?t want or need favors from politicians are a threat to their money and power. But being an effective, winning candidate takes planning and skill. As with everything else, failing to plan means planning to fail.

There are real opportunities to win in the low-turnout, low budget primary elections on June 3. Nominating petitions must be filed by March 31. Forms requesting slogans and bracketed slates must be filed by April 2. .
We are working with other groups to sponsor a seminar on effective political campaign techniques. The cost will be roughly $50. Please contact us if you are interested. Or contact groups like http://www.leadershipinstitute.org/ to get training on your own.

Why not join us as a member this year? As a non-voting member for $30, you can participate in all business meetings without making any commitments. Details at http://libertyandprosperity.org/join/. If already a member, please pay your 2014 dues as soon as possible by mail, at any breakfast meeting, or click the “Donate” button on the home page of http://libertyandprosperity.org/.

Bonus for anyone on this email list Free e-book: ?The Patriot Handbook?A Practical Guide for All Activists?, by James Simpson, investigative journalist, businessman, and former U.S. Office of Budget Management economist. Details at www.libertyandprosperity.org home page.
