Above Image: Tucker Carlson answering questions before James Madison Society fundraising dinner in Naples, Florida. When asked how to save America, Carlson surprised many in the audience by saying, “We need to get Biblical. We need to encourage our children to get married and have children. I’m married and I have four wonderful children, but I regret not having more. . . “
Many explanations have been given as to why Fox News abruptly fired Tucker Carlson last Monday. During the previous week, Tucker’s program reached roughly 3.2 million viewers every night between 8pm and 9pm. It was the seventh most watched cable TV program in America.
Every explanation may be partly true. Fox News is owned by the very dysfunctional family of 90 year old Rupert Murdoch. Rupert Murdoch has six children from three different marriages, The youngest is 20 years old and the oldest is 65. All seven seem to have some say in running Fox News. Each has a different opinion of Tucker Carlson, and how the Fox News network should be run.
For years, it seemed like some of the younger Murdochs wanted Fox News to be less conservative and more “progressive” and “mainstream”. This is obvious to anyone who listens to any Fox News radio station on a regular basis. Fox radio “Headline News” usually selects stories that promote the same “woke” Democrat talking points as ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN and NPR. Fox News Radio usually slants those already “woke” stories further to the left, just like the others. We were often told that this is because the younger Murdochs have more of a say in running Fox radio than the “flagship” TV network run by the Old Man. It would be natural for these younger Murdochs to push out Tucker Carlson and other conservative TV personalities as they gained more influence in running the TV network.
Many news sources reported that some of the Murdochs wanted to get rid of Tucker Carlson and other conservative hosts because of expensive lawsuits that were brought against their company. These included a libel suit brought by Dominion Voting Machines a sexual harassment claim by Abby Grossberg, a former Tucker Carlson producer. Grossberg claimed that the Fox News workplace was “hostile” to women.
There were also reports that some of the Murdochs were angry at what Tucker Carlson wrote in private texts to various Fox News employees that later become public because of those lawsuits.
Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair reported a far different explanation. He quoted a source that claimed Rupert Murdoch himself decided to suddenly fire Tucker Carlson over the weekend. That source claimed that Rupert “freaked out” over comments Tucker Carlson made in private conversations and in his speech at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Gala on Friday, April 21. In those conversations and in that speech, Tucker Carlson talked of the importance of Bible values. He also talked of how Judeo-Christian civilization is being attacked by forces of evil and how we need to get serious about defending it.

However, this last obvious reason to cancel Tucker Carlson is rarely mentioned. Tucker Carlson’s program was a commercial failure in spite of its large audience. The Murdochs may have decided that Tucker Carlson’s program did not earn them enough money to justify its stress and controversy.
If America still had a free enterprise, free-market economy in America (what Communists and socialists falsely call “capitalism”), Tucker Carlson’s program would have been a blockbuster money maker. It was the seventh most popular cable television program in America. It had an audience of roughly 3.2 million mostly affluent viewers every night.
Like the Super Bowl or the Olympics, the Tucker Carlson program offered America’s largest corporations a cost-effective way to market and sell their products and services. In a free economy, the executives of those corporations would eagerly pay top dollar to reach so many affluent consumers. This would reward Tucker Carlson and Fox News for producing and broadcasting such a popular program.
In a free economy, those corporations would then also be rewarded. They would profit by selling more of their products. And of course, consumers, who bought those products would also be happy.
This is how a free or market economy is supposed to work. This is why New Jersey adopted the motto “Liberty and Prosperity” in 1776. However, our economy has not worked that way in years.
The biggest corporations in America did not advertise on Tucker Carlson’s program. They instead paid top dollar to sponsor programs with a small far fewer viewers. MSNBC and CNN combined had less than half the audience of Tucker Carlson in the same time slot. MSNBC had 1.14 million viewers, while CNN had only 473,000.
Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Progressive and Geico Insurance, Office Depot, and BMW, Jeep, and General Motors paid top dollar for their ads on MSNBC and CNN. Meanwhile, Fox News had to greatly lower its rates to sell Tucker Carlson. Even so, only small “second tier” sponsors like My Pillow, Nutrisytem, Granite Stone pots and pans, and Relief Factor bought ads on Tucker Carlson. Why?
Above image: NPR, or National Public Radio has systematically promoted causes and leaders of the Democratic Party since it was created and funded Democratic President Lyndon Johnson and Democratic majorities in Congress in 1967. It has also consistently lied about Christians, conservatives and Republicans like Tucker Carlson. However, federal funding for NPR continued when Congress had Republican majorities, and when Republicans Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump were President.

There are many reasons. First, “woke” activists for years had succeeding in falsely branding Tucker Carlson with hateful labels including “extreme right”, “white nationalist” and “racist”. As a result, virtually every major corporation in America believed it would lose more customers than it would gain by sponsoring the Tucker Carlson program.
Above Image: Sample Proxy Ballots for ExxonMobil and JPMorgan Chase Shareholder Meetings In May. Every Corporation Holds A Yearly Shareholder Meeting To Choose Directors To Run The Corporation, And Approve Resolutions On How The Corporation Should Be Run. Large Corporations Have Tens Of Thousands Of Shares, And Are Controlled By A Few Large Shareholders. The Biggest Shareholders Of Most Major Corporations Today Are Government And Union Pension Funds, and Blackrock. The Above Sample Proxy Ballots Show How The Directors of Both Exxon Mobile And JP Morgan Chase Are Urging Shareholder To Vote AGAINST Proposals To Hurt Corporate Profits By Promoting “Woke” Leftist Agendas.
Second, many, if not most major corporations in America are now “woke”. They are run by executives who are more interesting in promoting “progressive” political goals like Diversity, Green Energy, and “Social Justice” than on earning money for shareholders. This is partly because these executives have been saturated in “woke” propaganda in school, college, the media, and Hollywood entertainment since childhood. It is also because Blackrock investments promotes those goals. Blackrock controls billions of dollars in government, corporate and individual pension funds and retirement investments. It openly admits that it votes its shares in companies it invests in to promote its far-left political agendas.
Finally, we no longer have a free or market economy in America. Some of the biggest sponsors of far-left MSNBC and CBS depend far more on government than customers for their profits and success. T-Mobil, AT&T and Verizon telephone companies are heavily regulated by many levels of government. So are GEICO and Progressive insurance companies. So are car makers like General Motors, Jeep and BMW. Government can put them out of business at any time for any reasons as quick as Putin crushed any oligarch in Russia who got out of line. And, of course, all can be bailed out by government any time they fail, if they promote the correct political agenda.
We may never know exactly what it was that caused Fox News to cancel Tucker Carlson so suddenly at this time. However, we can be sure that this alliance of big government politicians, big corporation executives and the media, schools and colleges controlled by them would have brought down any effective conservative sooner or later.
