Congressman Donald Norcross (Congressional District 1) sent a message to his constituents on May 18 describing his plan to reduce gas prices. The plan to tax `windfall profits’ and `price gouging’ does not increase supply, the real cause of higher prices. They are just a continuation of Democrat policies of the past 15 years.
`For 15+ years Democratic politicians have done everything they can to make new oil production unprofitable—leading to less investment‘. (1) `For 15+ years Democratic politicians have driven up oil prices by attacking oil investment, oil production, and oil transport’. (1) `Politicians around the world, including US Dems, have restricted fossil fuel investment/production/transport on the false promise of replacement by unreliable solar/wind.’ (1) President Biden has restricted federal leasing to decrease oil supply and increase prices.
The Democrats policies have succeeded in driving up prices, why aren’t they celebrating?
The policies must be reversed, not extended. Stop the attacks on oil, identify that fossil fuels are essential for a human flourishing society and as supply increases, prices will decrease dramatically
