IS OUR CHILDRENS’ FUTURE ON LIFE SUPPORT?

As many of you are aware, I am a pro-life advocate. Recently, I was requested to compose a letter to inspire the lives of several embryos involved in IVF, a subject in which I have limited knowledge. However, my friend, who is profoundly saddened and seeking assistance, has motivated me to become more informed. Years ago, I felt a divine calling to this pro-life ministry, and perhaps this is yet another aspect of life that God wishes for me to explore and educate myself about, as well as for you. Please refer to the link below concerning IVF.

I prayed this morning, and I wrote a letter for my good friend that I felt was inspired by the Holy Spirit and I pray it helps her.

THE LETTER

______, the grandmother of her daughter, is facing a challenging situation as her daughter is divorced and cares for a child conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF). The daughter has additional frozen embryos, and the dispute over their fate has caused significant distress for both the mother and grandmother. The father wishes to have the embryos destroyed, while the mother and grandmother advocate for their preservation. IVF, a fertility treatment that combines eggs and sperm in a laboratory setting, is a complex process that many individuals undergo in their quest for parenthood.

The emotional toll and financial investment involved in achieving a successful pregnancy can be overwhelming. After enduring a difficult journey to finally have children, the mother now faces the heartbreaking possibility of losing them due to the divorce. This situation evokes the biblical story of King Solomon, who was renowned for his wisdom. In a similar tale, two women claimed to be the mother of a single child, leading to a dramatic resolution when Solomon proposed to divide the child in half, revealing the true mother through her selfless plea to spare the child’s life.

Solomon’s wisdom was a gift from God, enabling him to make profound judgments. He commanded his guards to bring forth a sword and declared, ‘Divide the baby in two, giving one half to each woman.’ The true mother immediately implored, ‘No, my King, grant the child to the other woman so that it may live.’ In contrast, the other woman insisted, ‘Let it be cut in half, and we shall each take a portion,’ revealing her bitterness. The King discerned the genuine mother and instructed his guards to return the child to her, demonstrating his remarkable wisdom. This narrative, recorded in the Bible, serves a significant purpose, leaving many in awe of the King’s insight.

In contemporary society, however, we often prioritize selfish desires, neglecting the sanctity of life. Our children’s fate in America seems to be on Life Support when it comes to the Love of their mothers and fathers in today’s culture.

I had an abortion. Why is none of your business. - The Washington Post

Our forefathers recognized that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are paramount, in that order. While I do not claim to be an expert, I am a pro-life advocate who has stood for countless defenseless babies, mothers, and fathers since 2009. I have intervened at abortion clinics, supported women who still reach out to me, and assisted those grappling with the pain of abortion by sharing my own experiences.

My testimony resonates with many, as our world is in distress and our children are suffering. Each child creates a ripple effect in this world. You, the reader, have likely impacted someone, raised your own children, or cherished your parents and friends. Your existence creates ripples on this Earth, and you hold immense value in God’s eyes, just as all children do. Do not these unborn babies deserve the gift of life? When people sought to create life, they did everything possible to nurture beautiful embryos, yet now their destinies rest in the hands of a judge. Is that judge as wise as Solomon?

In contemporary society, many individuals have been misled into thinking that terminating a life is acceptable. This belief could lead to our collective downfall, as we seem to have neglected the importance of our children, resulting in a diminishing capacity for love. I urge you to recognize that ultimately, we are all responsible for our actions, both in this life and in the judgment that awaits us after death.

Deep down, you are aware of the truth; thus, the pivotal question remains: whom will you choose to serve? You may say why me? I just happened to read this letter, and I would say, God doesn’t make mistakes, and you have read it for a reason.  I hope you will choose to serve Almighty God and advocate for the preservation of these lives, for their mothers and grandmothers who are eager to nurture and raise them. It is possible for life to regain its paramount status in our society, and it may begin with you taking a simple action, such as making a phone call or writing a letter. God will take care of the rest. Cherish life, and you shall be rewarded!

Please I plead for a mother that loves her children that may not be able to have others, and this is a choice of life or death.  You have this opportunity to help the true parent that has chosen life not death. I pray you will help them.

END OF LETTER

I thought today of my son Anthony who just turned 18 and has done a great video which I know LIFENET shares in their education pieces to young boys and girls in school and it helps them to understand that LIFE is valuable. Anthony’s mother almost aborted him and he went into foster care.    One of the statements Anthony makes in this video is “What Is My Life worth”?

IS LIFE WORTH FIGHTING FOR?

St. Pope John Paul II certainly thought so! St. Pope John Paul II expressed numerous profound thoughts, one of which was:

“It becomes necessary, therefore, on the part of all, to recover an awareness of the primacy of moral values, which are the values of the human person as such. The great task that has to be faced today for the renewal of society is that of recapturing the ultimate meaning of life and its fundamental values. Only an awareness of the primacy of these values enables man to use the immense possibilities given him by science in such a way as to bring about the true advancement of the human person in his or her whole truth, in his or her freedom and dignity. Science is called to ally itself with wisdom.” (Familiaris Consortio)”

He also said,

“. . . we are facing an enormous and dramatic clash between good and evil, death and life, the “culture of death” and the “culture of life”. We find ourselves not only faced with but necessarily in the midst of this conflict: we are all involved, and we all share in it, with the inescapable responsibility of choosing to be unconditionally pro-life.” (Evangelium Vitae)

There is an abundance of topics to discuss regarding LIFE! I frequently contemplate how we, as a society, have deceived ourselves into believing we inhabit a civilized world, especially when we fail to safeguard the innocent, marginalized, and voiceless. Nevertheless, hope persists, and many among you uphold God’s Word and Truth. It is essential to vocalize these truths to the younger generation, enabling them to truly LIVE!
