On Saturday night a week ago, one drunk driver knocked over one telephone pole on Shore Road,? which knocked out electric, phone and internet service for dozens, if not hundreds of nearby Somers Point homes and businesses.?? Verizon phone and internet were out for next 6 days, until last Friday.???? Phone and internet repair crews did not even show up until 2 and a half days after accident.? This crippled my law business? and LibertyandProsperity.org work far more than Sandy.? I now question how much Sandy disruption caused by storm, and how much by poor preparation, poor infrastructure and equipment, bad decisions , ineffective response by government and utilities like this.???? At one time, Americans asked these questions, demanded answers,? held people accountable, and made things better for next time.??? Now, why bother, when it is so much easier to demand that government pay for your losses–with borrowed?money and higher taxes paid by?someone else.??
