Regular Liberty and Prosperity Breakfast Discussion at 9:30AM.  Banquet Room of Sal’s Coal Fired Pizza, 501 New Road (Route 9 & Groveland Ave.), Somers Point, NJ.

Suggested Topics For Discussion:

1.         Stop Offshore Wind Rally and Bridge Walk: Meet 9:30AM this morning,  SaturdayMay 25, Park 9th and Asbury Ave., Ocean City, NJ. Then walk across bridge to Somers Point and back.

A.    Drove to Trenton last Wednesday. Solar panels on telephone poles all along Route 206. Half of them had no sun because they were right next to trees!

B.     Why not build lightening rods in the ocean?  One bolt of lighting contains more than a billion volts—enough to power 850,000 homes for an entire day.

2.         Memorial Day to remember those who died defending our freedom. Veterans Day to thank the living. Memories of my Dad, Eli Grossman. Started as weatherman for the Army Air Corps. They sent him to dental school in Iowa in 1944 because the top brass thought the war would last another ten years.  But part of the deal was being in the ready reserves for ten years. So when the Korean War started, my dad was one of the first to get called back in.  My dad told everyone how lucky he was and that he never wanted any special recognition or benefits.  “That’s for the guys who got hurt or didn’t come back.  I came back OK and ended up with a free country.  That’s enough for me”.

3.         Memories of local hero Bernie Friedenberg.  Bernie Friedenberg grew up in Atlantic City, and graduated from Atlantic City High school in 1939.  Two years later, Japan attacked the American navy base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and killed  World War II  2,500 Americans.  4 days later, Hitler and the Reichstag of Nazi Germany also declared war on America.

A.   Bernie Friedenberg tried to enlist, but had such bad eyesight that he was rejected by the army, the navy, and the marines.   However, he kept trying, and was finally taken by the army as a medic.  Friedenberg saved many lives on Omaha Beach during D-Day and during the Battle of the Bulge later that year.  He came back to Atlantic City with 2 purple hearts, 2 silver stars, a bronze star and honors from the French government.

B.   Bernie owned the Monarch Bar in Atlantic City, then the Penn Crest Hotel, then the Fiesta Motel and then the SKILLO game at Kentucky Avenue and the Boardwalk.

C.   Bernie Friedenberg was the Commander of the Jewish War Veterans for many years.

4.         Memorial:  Bernie died in 2018 at age 96.  A few years later, the leaders of several veterans groups got together to build a monument to remember Bernie and all Atlantic City veterans of World War 2.  They included Jim Eberwine of Absecon, Doug Satterfield of Galloway, Marco Polo Migliani of Egg Harbor Township, and Bob Turkavage of Brigantine.

A.   Original Plan: Raise $250,000 from private donations to build and install a bronze statue and pedestal.  By 2021, they raised $30,000, and were short $220,000.

B.   Now three year later, the statute is built and installed, and is ready to be dedicated on June 6, D-Day two weeks from now.

C.   But now we find out the project costs one million dollars.  $175,000 was given by the CRDA.  Another $350,000 was given by Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small from federal funds given out by the federal government for coronavirus relief.

D.   Where did the other $430,000 come from?  The Gas Company? The Electric Company?  The AtlantiCare? The Atlantic County Utilities Authority? Comcast? Verizon?  I don’t know.  I’m just guessing. But isn’t that where most so-called charity comes from these days?  And all these big, woke corporation can raise prices as high as they want, and we don’t have any choice.

5.         Israel and Palestine.  The woke-left governments of Norway, Ireland and Spain say there should be a two-state solution:  A Muslim Arab State and a Jewish state.

A.   Isn’t that what we did in Vietnam?  Communists were a majority in the North.  Catholics and anti-Communists were a majority in the South.  After they agreed to a two state solution, roughly a million Catholics left the North and went to the South to get away from the Communists.

B.   Five years later, the Communists in the North invaded the South and took over the whole country 15 years later.

6.         South Africa:  Why no two-state solution for whites and blacks there in the 1980’s? Why did the world force whites to be a minority there? Why no two-state solution for the French and Arabs of Algeria in the 1960’s?

7.         Memorial Day:  A real holiday based on reality.  We enjoy liberty and prosperity in America because millions of men and women fought, died and sacrificed for it.  Juneteenth on June 19 is a fake holiday based on fiction:  Slavery ended all by itself.   It was the sacrifices we remember on Memorial Day that ended slavery in America. Civil War Monument built 50 years after Civil War in Atlantic city.

8.         Why hasn’t America won a war since 1945?  Thomas E. Ricks:  The Generals.

A.   Vietnam: Decline of American Military:

B.     McNamara-Strategic Hamlet. Force Vietnamese to leave their waterfront homes along the rivers and live in the middle of nowhere.

C.    Westmoreland:  Search and Destroy ignored the Viet Cong tunnels.

D.     Lieutenant Calley and MyLai massacre.

E.    We let America’s best friends get murdered in Hue during Tet Offensive in 1968

10.         Do we have to choose between Israel or America

A.     Same Bible

B.    Same Attitudes. Same values.

C.     Same Success. Meaning of song Yankee Doodle

D.    Same enemies jealous of our success. They want our prosperity without the freedom and Bible values that created it.

E.  Today is the 32d day of the Omer. Count 50 days from Passover/Easter to Pentecost, the Greek word for 50.  Passover celebrates freedom from slavery. Pentecost/Shavuot 50 days later celebrates getting 10 Commandments at Mount Sinai.

10.         George Floyd Movie:  But nothing about the normal shootings and murders every week.  This week:  Man killed in drive-by shooting outside social club in Willingboro.  No movie for him.  Cold blooded murder of 2 at Philadelphia linen company.  Their lives didn’t matter.

11.         Socialism vs. American Liberty:

A.     Marty Small/Phil Murphy – Don Guardian/Chris Christie. Personal relations create wealth through government funded jobs, contracts and “economic development”. NJ Motto:  Liberty creates prosperity.

B.    Failure of government housing in Atlantic City.  Jeff Van Drew:  I love him on so many issues.  But the solution to bad public housing is to get the government out of the housing business.  We need to cut property taxes and ridiculous laws and regulation that make it so expensive to build, improve and maintain private homes and rental units.  We need laws that make it easier to evict or refuse to rent to bad tenants.  We need to deport illegal foreigners who are using so much of our housing units.

C.     Blatstein Water Park – Parker Plantscape and other contractors and suppliers suing for $2 million.

12.         Javier Milei—Argentina  The only world leader who is seriously rolling back socialism.  Seriously defending liberty.  “Viva La Libertad. #$&%^”  (Long live Liberty #$%&$!)  Can repeat the Spanish word he used on the radio. Begins with “C” and and rhymes with abajo.  Meanwhile, Trump was like every other Republican President since Herbert Hoover in 1928, Eisenhower 1953, Nixon 1969, Reagan 1981, Bush 1989 and 2001.  Did less damage than Democrats, but did nothing to roll back damage already done.

13.         Fake GDP. Employment numbers  John C. Cowperwaithe. Financial Secretary of Hong Kong 1961 to 1971.

14.         Law that weakens Open Public Records Act also ends fee-shifting.  That may be a good thing.

15.          Biden built a $320 million pier so that we could give food to Palestinians who were supposed to be starving.  Israel claimed that had delivered more than enough food, but complained Hamas was stealing all the food.  So Biden had America build a $320 million pier and we started using it last week.  We loaded dozens of trucks with food.  And Hamas stole all of it as soon as the trucks left the dock.

16.         President Biden just appointed 200 new federal judges based on diversity, equity and inclusion. Trump appointed 218 judges during his four years.

17.         NPR News Wednesday. Kenya Visit. Nothing about Testimony that Dr. Fauci and his top officials all lied to the public about everything during COVID. They just made up 2 weeks to stop the spread.  They just made up 6 feet apart social distancing as an excuse to close schools.

18.         All criminal charges against the owner of the Atlas Gym in Bellmawr were dropped.  Governor Murphy ruined his business when he tried to stay open during the Coronavirus.  We now know that there was never any science to back up the government rules that shut down every school every gym, and even the Boardwalk and the walkway of the Ocean City Somers Point Bridge.

19.         Seditious Insurrection and Christian Nationalist flags on the NJ Beach house of NJ Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito.  Upside down US flag.  “An Appeal to Heaven”.  Flag used in New England during American Revolution. Motto inspired by John Locke who said we all have certain unalienable rights from God that no government can take away.

20.         New Jersey climate lawsuit filed last week by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin against:

Exxon Mobil Corporation

Shell Oil Company

Chevron Corporation

BP

ConocoPhillips

American Petroleum Institute (API) – the trade group representing these defendants.

Platkin claims that these companies knowingly made false claims to deceive the public about climate change and the impact of fossil fuel consumption on global warming.

API is accused of orchestrating climate denial campaigns on behalf of the fossil fuel defendants.

The lawsuit seeks to hold the defendants accountable for concealing their knowledge of the environmental impact of fossil fuels and delaying the transition to cleaner energy sources1.

21.         Liberty and Prosperity.com  If you visit the website, you can hear everything we’re talking about this morning. Even better, I post everything I wish I said, including sources, charts and video.

22.         Conspiracy theories that either Israeli’s or George Bush or the CIA were behind the deadly attack on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001.

a.     The World Trade Center was attacked in 1993, and Rabbi Meir Kahane was gunned down on a sidewalk in Manhattan in 1990.  Both of these crimes were done by a radical Wahhabi, Salafi, Muslim Brotherhood jihadi cult of Islam. These crimes were done by followers of the Blind Sheikh, who was part of a group that murdered the President of Egypt in 1981.  For some reason, he was allowed to live in Brooklyn, New York and open up a mosque there.

b.    By coincidence, two FBI officers from Atlantic City were assigned to investigate the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. John O’Neill who graduated Holy Spirit High School in 1971, and Charles Stern, the son of a local dentist who grew up in Ventnor.  For years, they told anyone who would listen.

23.         Gaza:  Yahya Sinwar. Mafia. Luca Brasi
