Taiwan With 24 Million People First To Be Exposed Has 238 Cases, 2 Deaths. Metro NY/NJ With 13 Million Has 55,000 Cases, 658 Deaths. Why?

This island nation of Taiwan with 23 million people is the only part of China not conquered and occupied by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime in 1949.  Many of its people often visit Communist China for business and to visit family.  Last December, they were the among first outside Communist China to be exposed to the deadly Wuhan Coronovirus now known as Covid-19.

Yet after three full months of exposure,  Taiwan reports only 238 cases and two deaths.  Meanwhile Metro NY/NJ  (New York City and Bergen, Middlesex, Esses, Hudson, Monmouth & Passaic Counties in New Jersey) with 13 million, or just over half the population of Taiwan have 55,000 infected & 658 deaths!

The New York City/North Jersey Metro area with 13 million people has just over half the population, but roughly 162 times the number of coronavirus cases, as Free China Taiwan with 24 million people.  Click here for complete Johns Hopkins Coronavirus COVID-19 Interactive Map which is updated every few hours.

Taiwan businesses, schools, trains and buses stayed open and their economy is booming.  Meanwhile Metro NY/NJ, like the rest of America, is in lockdown and our economy is in shambles.

Why the big difference?  Taiwan banned travel from Communist China in early January.  We in America waited until the end of the month.  Even then, President Trump was attacked as being “racist” for doing this by Communist China, the UN’s World Health Organization, “public health experts”, the media, and prominent Democrats.

However, what Taiwan did afterwards was even more important.   Taiwan has:

  1.  Mass testing regardless of symptoms. Each family is urged to take the temperature of every family member every four hours, and random temperature checks are taken at public buildings.
  2. Masks for all!  Everybody who goes out in public wears a surgical mask.
  3. Rigorous contact tracing for all infected & their contacts.  When a person tests positive, everyone they had contact with is notified.  Friends, family members, co-workers, people who had contact in trains, buses and stores.
  4. Enforced quarantine of all everyone infected and everyone he or she had contact with.  Cell phones are used to track the whereabouts of those under quarantine, and heavy fines are imposed on anyone who breaks quarantine or lies about his or her medical history or contacts.  We in America, of course, are not doing any of this.

Why has there been no headline stories of Taiwan or its success? Why didn’t anyone in the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) or the US Center for Disease Control or National Institute of Health (including Dr. Anthony Fauci or Dr. Deborah Birx) even mention Taiwan?

In 1984, Randy Shilts, then a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle wrote in detail of how the owners of highly profitable gay bath houses used money and political influence to “persuade” public health officials to preserve the “privacy” of infected people spreading the disease, rather than apply time-tested measures to control the spread of AIDS/HIV.  That influence and public health culture led to the HIPAA privacy laws of 1996.

Is it because public health bureaucrats here in America got infected with “political correctness” during the AIDS/HIV epidemic of the 1980’s (Dr. Fauci was appointed to his current position in 1984)?   Since then, public health agencies have put the HIPAA privacy “rights” of infected spreaders above the rights of the vast majority who are healthy to know who is infected with a disease so they can avoid them and protect themselves and their families.

Is it because the Communist China Party (CCP) that runs Mainland China has been trying to destroy and occupy its Free China rival, non-Communist Taiwan since 1949?  It is well known that the Communist regime in China has spent enormous sums of money for years to bully and bribe leaders of world organizations like the UN and WHO, big corporations including media companies, politicians, sports figures and celebrities.  Is that why so few people in government or the media are willing to praise, recognize, or even mention Taiwan success?  If you are on Twitter, search #CCP and #CCPVirus to read what is being posted about this in Taiwan, Hong Kong and by free, non-Communist Chinese everywhere.
