Tax breaks for casinos, millionaire boat buyers, “A-List” entertainers. Higher taxes for rest of us.

This is as corrupt and disgusting as you can get.

Last summer,?NJ legislature passed PILOT (Peanuts in Lieu of Taxes) so Atlantic City casinos would pay a lot less in real estate taxes, and every other home and business in Atlantic County will pay a?lot more.??Last week, Republicans and Democrats in Legislature voted to eliminate most sales tax for anyone who buys a million dollar luxury yacht, while the rest of us pay 7% sales tax on everything we buy.???Now those same politicians are working to give big breaks in income tax for?multimillion dollar “A List” Entertainers? who perform in New Jersey.2015-corporate-welfare-image

Our NJ State?Constitution and even the original 1664 Charter from King Charles that created New Jersey?required everyone to pay taxes equally at the same rate.? This is a basic principle of liberty.

Bloated government, unsustainable debt, and high taxes are smothering the economy for everyone. If the rich and powerful suffer? as much as the rest of us, they will join the rest of?us in fixing these problems.?? But if they think their?money and influence can buy them?special breaks for themselves while the rest of us suffer, they have no reason to change anything.?? This is what the?aristocrats of old Russia and France did before they were thrown out by revolution.

This is only beginning.?? Christie Republicans and Sweeney Republicans are already working on a dirty deal to double the gasoline tax?after the November 3 elections.?? As we point out in www.repudiateNJ.com, the tax hike is needed not to fix our roads and bridges,?? The $1.6 billion we collect from the current gasoline tax is more than enough.?? These politicians admitted that the want this money?to bail out junk bonds issued by NJ Transportation Trust Fund Authority without voter approval in violation of?NJ Constitution.? Because voters never approved those bonds, they are not legally enforceable and we have no legal or moral obligation to repay them.

What is even worse is that Republicans are demanding temporary?cuts in Estate Tax so that the millionaires and billionaires who pay no taxes on those?high yield junk bonds from NJ Transportation Trust Fund Authority can also pass their fortunes to their ?trust fund babies? tax-free when they die.
