The show and the cast were scandal free and they attracted quality sponsors along with high audience ratings.?Nevertheless, the ABC TV network cancelled the program in spite of its success several months ago.??
Tim Allen recently suggested that his program was terminated for political reasons.?Tim Allen explained that to Hollywood elites, ?There?s nothing more dangerous, especially in this climate, than a funny, likable conservative.? This seems to be the most logical explanation. It also seems to explain why the stories of great Americans like Richard Somers and Sara Spencer Washington are no longer told in our schools, colleges, or Hollywood/TV pop-cult
Richard Somers of Somers Point was once a national hero, whose story was once known by almost every schoolchild in America.?Somers? learned to sail at age 10 and skippered sailing ships between New York and Philadelphia by age 17. He had a promising career that could have made him rich by age 30. However, he gave that up to be an officer in America?s newly created navy at age 20 when Islamic terrorists threatened Americans overseas.
Somers and other young Americans defeated the terrorists so completely that the world enjoyed 200 years of peace between the Islamic and non-Islamic worlds for the first time in 1100 years. Somers never owned slaves, and never killed or oppressed Native Americans.??? Yet the story of Richard Somers is no longer told in our schools and banished from TV and Hollywood movies. It was erased from our national memory and popular culture.
Sara Spencer Washington was a black women who opened a one room beauty parlor in Atlantic City at age 24. Within 10 years, she was a multimillionaire.
For the next 30 years, Sara Spencer Washington used her talent and money to employ thousands of poor blacks throughout America, support dozens of charities, advance the cause of civil rights, and support a culture of pride and achievement within the black community. Before 1936, most blacks in America were Republicans who supported Republican candidates. After 1936, most blacks supported Democratic candidates who promised blacks government benefits. Sara Spencer Washington remained a Republican because she continued to believe that education, work, and discipline were the key to success for blacks in America. Needless to say, her story has also been banned from our schools and popular culture, and erased from our national memory.??
The reason seems obvious. As Tim Allen pointed out the political and cultural elites are threatened by likeable conservatives who embrace traditional American values.
That is how our political and cultural elites convince young Americans, especially minorities, that people who love and respect America?s traditions are mean, ignorant, violent, intolerant, bigoted racists, who oppress women and minorities. It is why so many young athletes are so eager to insult our flag and national anthem.
