Vote today! November is crucial, so start promoting voting now! We must not become the next California East!

Before I begin “This post represents the personal views of Ethel Hermenau. They have not been reviewed or approved by the organization and may or may not represent the views of most members of Liberty and Prosperity 1776, Inc.”

Today is June 10th, 2025. It is a significant day to select the Governor we wish to support in the upcoming November Election. Most of us are quite occupied, and I, too, have work commitments; however, I recognize the importance of this day and its implications for the future of New Jersey. Many individuals grow weary of the political climate and choose to relocate. Nevertheless, those of us who reside here truly cherish our State, and we have numerous friends and family members that influence our decision to remain. More importantly, we all possess the God-Given Right to Vote! To advocate for our beliefs and the reasons behind them.

I attended the Lincoln Breakfast on Saturday, June 7th, 2025.   A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Tony Coppola for hosting it at the Smithville Inn, as well as to the hosts Don and Michelle Purdy and the Galloway Republican Club.  They recognized two outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to our organization. Councilman RJ Amato was awarded the title of 2025 Republican of the Year, while John Forsythe received the Ride or Die award. We express our gratitude to both for their hard work and commitment to our community. Congratulations! Following Atlantic County Republicans, Jack Ciattarelli attended to deliver a speech and Jack is the endorsed candidate running for Governor of New Jersey of President Donald J. Trump.   It was received very well.  Congressman Van Drew could not attend due to a scheduling conflict.

Regrettably, while this wonderful event was taking place, a group of protestors gathered outside with signs.   I approached some of them to engage in conversation, and I have included several pictures.

Later, I would discover that the woman in grey, named Kim, is actually a write-in candidate for the Democratic Party. She repeatedly asserted that I was triggered, a term often associated with liberals, to which I responded that I consider it a friendly debate.

Both Kim Greiser and Caitlin Stenson are write-in candidates for the Galloway Council. The woman with blonde hair on the left kept mentioning Ethel, who is on the Galloway School Board, and inquired about the timing of my next school board meeting. I was present there as a private citizen, just like them.

I find it quite amusing, as both Kim and Caitlin are very politically active. In fact, Caitlan has addressed a few of our Galloway Board meetings, and there is an article featuring her and others from our January 2025 meeting here is the article. Galloway School Board Faces Heated Debate Over Parental Rights and Student Privacy Policies | LocalLens
(in the article it has the 1/25 school board meeting on you tube).

I successfully persuaded the Galloway School Board to hold a vote on the repeal of 5756. However, it took a Councilman Thomas Bassford, who fortuitously happened to be present, that reminded the School Board that if Ethel Hermenau made a motion and another individual, Ginny Larrea, wished to second it, they should proceed to vote. They attempted to dismiss the matter on several occasions. I express my gratitude to God that Tom was there that evening and took the opportunity to speak during the comments section (which is always at the end). Therefore, I requested to “repeal the 5756 policy that infringes upon parental rights.” Unfortunately, only Ginny Larrea and I supported the repeal; the other members of the School Board voted against it, choosing to uphold this shameful policy. It is crucial to highlight this today and keep it in mind when you vote in November.   Safeguarding parental rights, it is essential to avoid electing a Democratic Governor in New Jersey. There are so many topics that only a Republican Governor will change “Sanctuary State” is just one more.

Kim was videoing me as I took pictures and spoke with other people.

and, I had no idea who Caitlin Stenson was either.  I didn’t realize she actually asks the questions to Meet the Candidate Night and has come to the local school boards to speak out in defense of the 5756.

There are numerous activists among us, and it is essential for everyone to understand their positions if they are campaigning for office.

Sherri Parmenter, a member of the Galloway School Board with one year remaining in her term, is campaigning for the position of Surrogate against James Curcio (Republican), who performs exceptionally well in his role. It is crucial for all of us to inform ourselves about the candidates running for office. Again, Sherri voted to keep 5756 in place not a policy most conservatives want in place.

Numerous protesters express their opposition to Congressman Van Drew and President Donald J. Trump, often holding beliefs that starkly contrast with those of Republicans in many discussions. We reside in America, the greatest nation in the world, where we enjoy the freedom of speech. Therefore, everyone is entitled to their own opinion; however, if you share my values as a patriot, a mother or father, and a citizen, you are concerned about the future of America. This concern starts not only with the state or city we inhabit but also with you and me. Each of us has a part to play.

After today we will have a clear path and a clear winner to stand behind as our Governor!   I pray that all Republicans will unite and back whoever the people choose because we can never have a Democratic Governor in Charge again, Governor Murphy has done so much damage to this State like Governor Newsom who he is in lockstep with at every move. If we don’t want New Jersey resembling LA in the future, we must not let Governor Murphy, or any democrat call us the new California East!  We will have the same problems and the same bills in place if we allow one more Democratic to rule over NJ.

A group of us placed signs for Jack Ciattarelli; you may have seen some, although it is likely that you did not, as we put them out on Monday night and noticed a day ago that they had all been removed. They are missing from the locations where we had placed them. However, the signs for Sweeney and Spiller remain visible. Be cautious of Spiller and the $42,000,000 donation he received from the NJEA we hear?  (I assume the teachers do not have much choice regarding where their hard-earned money is allocated).

Nevertheless, a new Governor like Jack will provide more support to teachers than the NJEA ever has.  Jack told me they will be implementing “Teachers for Jack” and I think all teachers should reach out to him and see what he has to say. I am eagerly anticipating a transformation for New Jersey. We all should be!

I dedicate time to Stand, Vote, and Voice my opinions, with the hope of transforming New Jersey into a more educated and proactive State.

This article is primarily intended for the upcoming Election, as once the Republican Nominee is determined, it is essential for us to engage and unite. This presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to redirect the course of this State towards a God-fearing and conservative future.

New Jersey voters will be electing a new Governor.   The current Governor, Phil Murphy, is term-limited and will not be able to seek re-election.

2025 is a pivotal year for New Jersey!

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well fought lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like in America when men were free. – 1961 Ronald Reagan

I do not represent the Galloway School Board or any other organization. I am stating my opinions as a Citizen of the United States and a Citizen of Galloway, NJ and as a grandmother and Mother, I honor God, Family and Country!
