We Had Riots All Over America Last Weekend Because Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions Did Nothing After 2017 Inauguration Riots in Washington, D.C.

Jeff Sessions, President Trump’s first Attorney General and former Republican Senator of Alabama

Back in January of 2017, the same people, used the same networks, the same tactics, and the same money sources to break windows, set fires, and beat up people in Washington, D.C. that they used in cities around America last weekend.

Organized rioters at President Trump Inauguration in Washington, D.C. on  January 20, 2017

President Trump Inauguration, January 20, 2017 in Washington D.C.  While some rioters battled with police at one end of the street, other rioters broke windows and started fires where there were no police.

Last weekend’s riots could have been prevented if former Attorney General Jeff Sessions used the resources of our Federal Department of Justice (DOJ) to identify, prosecute, and punish these people three years ago.  Jeff Sessions did a good job of at least starting the process of enforcing immigration laws.   However, he let President Trump and our nation down when he needlessly recused himself from stopping and punishing the Obama holdovers who illegally spied on and persecuted everyone close to Trump.   He also let us down when he did nothing about the January 20, 2017 inauguration riots.

William Barr, Current Attorney General

Hopefully, current Attorney General William Barr will act quickly to make up for lost time.
