Downed power lines on one particular road don’t cause every road in the county to get shut down. Photo by NJ.com
When a power line is down on a particular road, we are quickly told where the danger is, and how to avoid it. Road crews put up barriers and flashing lights. Radio, TV and even cell phone announcements tell us to bypass the area.
Suppose they didn’t do that. Suppose they just announced: “There’s a downed power line somewhere in the county, but we can’t tell you where it is”.
Suppose they instead issued an emergency order that nobody could drive faster than twenty miles an hour on any road, anywhere in the county until that one power line was fixed.
Isn’t that they way government and the media are forcing us to deal with the corona virus?
Let’s talk about it online at 9:30 this Saturday morning. Please visit Libertyandprosperity.com to find out how, and for our free email updates. Talk to us on Facebook and Twitter.
