Use 1676 Project to reach your children and grandchildren:
SETH GROSSMAN: One of the biggest tragedies that we run into at our Liberty and Prosperity meetings is, parents and grandparents who lost touch with their children and grandchildren. They once had close and loving relationships with their kids and grandkids. But then those kids and grandkids were programmed or indoctrinated in college or public school.
These kids and grandkids were taught since second and third grade that America is a racist country and a bigoted country built on slavery and conquest and exploitation and poisoning the planet. They were taught that anyone who supports or defends President Trump or who is proud of America and American traditions is a bad person. And that includes mom and dad and grandma and grandpa. This is tearing families apart.
These kids are not only programmed to vote for “woke” Democrats. They are also programmed to hate anyone who disagrees. They then see their parents and grandparents as threats to the health and safety of themselves and their kids. And so they often cut off all contact.
They stop visiting their parents. They don’t let their parents have contact with their children, the grandchildren. They find excuses not to attend family events like Christmas or Thanksgiving dinners and birthday parties.
This is sad, tragic and horrible. How do you reach out to kids and grandkids like this?
I am starting sI mean, not only do the kids vote Democrat, but they see their parents and grandparents as a threat to to their to their health, to their safety. And so they don’t visit with parents, and, you have these kids won’t let their parents visit with their grandkids, and they won’t go to events on Christmas or Thanksgiving or birthday parties. And it’s and it’s horrible. So how do you reach out to kids like that?
And I’m finding out that my book, 1676 Project can be very helpful. One of the best videos I’ve seen of Charlie Kirk is where Charlie Kirk calls college a scam. One of the students disputes this, and Charlies asks the kid what his major is. The student said “economics.” Charlies then asked the student what he was taught about Ludwig Von Mises, Frederic Bastiat, and Thomas Sowell. These are important and highly respected scholars in economics. And yet none of the students heard of any of them. This proved the point Charlie Kirk was making. These students were being indoctrinated–not educated.
This is what my book, 1676 Project. It is does. And that’s exactly what, the book I wrote, 1676 project does. It is an easy-to-understand presentation of the complete history of South Jersey. It includes many important true stories and facts that are rarely taught today. So you can ask your kids questions like Charlie Kirk.
My book starts with the Ice Age. So ask your kids, did you know that 20,000 years ago, most of North Jersey was covered with ice? Snow that fell during the winter didn’t melt in the summer. Did they teach you that in school? Did they tell you that about 10,000 years ago, the earth got warmer and that ice melted? What caused the earth to get cold back then? What caused it to then get warm?
You can ask questions about Native American nations like the Iroquois and Powhatan. Did you know that the Iroquois fought genocidal wars against the Huron in upstate New York and almost wiped them out. Did you know that the Powhatan tribe of Pocahontas attacked and wiped-out peaceful neighbors before Europeans came to Virginiaz?
All of that is in the book, and most kids today are taught nothing about it. What do you know about the Turkish invasion of Europe that pushed Italian sailors into the Atlantic Ocean. The book is filled with stories about stuff like that.
You could approach this in many ways. Just leave the book around the house. It has big print and lots of pictures. I guarantee that your kids will open it up and read some of the stories.
When you read the book, you will know all about important historical figures like John Woolman. He was the tailor from Mount Holly who began the world-wide movement to end slavery. You will know all about how a Lenni Lenape chief from Trenton New Jersey changed the course of the French and Indian War with the Treaty of Easton.
Just be reading this book, you will become an expert on American history. You will instantly explode the myth that people who go to college are smarter or more knowledgeable than people who don’t.
That is what I am running into as I sell this book. It is not what I intended, but it is definitely what is happening.
Right now, Elon Musk is posting a lot of stuff about how college today is a complete scam and a complete racket. You can get all the knowledge you need, without wasting four years and spending more than a hundred thousand dollars. You can read books for free, you can go online to find out what you don’t know. You can have conversations with other people in groups like Liberty and Prosperity.
A few days ago, I met a young man who wanted to take a New Jersey history course in New Jersey at college, but there were conflicts and he couldn’t do it. So I gave him my book. Later he got back to me and said, “I think I learned more from reading that book in three hours than I would have learned from that whole college course.”
So that’s giving us the idea to maybe add one more issue to our 10 key issues for 2026. Maybe we should say that we should stop requiring college diplomas for most jobs.
The idea of making families pay hundreds of thousands of dollars and have kids waste four years of their lives to get a piece of paper to get a mid-level job is getting more and more ridiculous.
What is going on between Pope Leo and President Trump started in Chicago and Poland more than a hundred years ago.

Above Image: The Communist international May 1st Holiday began as a remembrance of the Haymarket Square riot in Chicago in 1886.
SETH GROSSMAN: I’ve got to say something about what’s going on between President Trump and Pope Leo. This is part of a battle between the Catholic Church and Communists that has been going on since 1920. And Communists have been a big part of Chicago, where Pope Leo grew up, for more than 150 years.
Few people know this, but Chicago has been one of the centers of the worldwide Communist movement since the 1880s. Most Communists were shocked when the Communist revolution took place in Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia in 1918. They all expected it to take place in Chicago in the United States. Chicago was, where the May Day Communist holiday began. It’s where you had the IWW, the International Workers of the World. Chicago is where all Barack of Obama’s Communist mentors came from: Frank Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers, and Bernadine Dohrn of the Weather Underground, Saul Alinsky. Chicago is where you had the riots at the 1968 Democratic Party Convention. It’s where Jussie Smollett almost got away with his fake hate crime. You have Pope Leo growing up surrounded by radical Communists.

And then you have this battle between Communists and the Roman Catholic Church that has been going on since the Communists took control of Russia in 1918.
When the Communists took over Russia, they started something called the Red Terror. This was when Communist leaders Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Joseph Stalin, and the others organized the murder and imprisonment of millions of people. For them, it was not enough to just kill everyone who opposed them. They thought it was necessary to kill everyone who might oppose them in the future, or at least send them to prison camps.
And so they arrested and killed all factory owners, business owners, politicians, government leaders and Christian priests and ministers. This shocked the entire world at the time. However, you won’t find any of this mentioned in any high school or college textbook in America today. Very few Americans know anything about this.
And even fewer Americans know that in 1920, the Communists in Russia invaded Poland and tried to bring their Red Terror there. And at the time, it did not seem like Poland had a chance. It seemed certain that the Communists would take over Poland in just a few weeks and murder Catholic priests in Poland just like they murdered Russian and Ukrainian Orthodox priests in Russia.
But then in 1920, the Catholic Church, led by the Pope in Rome called on Catholics throughout the world to implore God’s mercy, and pray to the Virgin Mary for her intercession to save the Catholics of Poland from the Communists.
And guess what the name of that Pope was in 1920? Do you know?
JOHN DEMASI: No. I don’t.
SETH GROSSMAN: The name of the Pope in 1920 was Benedict 15th. He appealed to Catholics all over the world to stop what he called the new plague of Communism in Europe. Thousands of American Catholics all over the world volunteered and wen to fight for Poland. Catholic pilots who were veterans of World War I formed their own volunteer squadron of airplanes.
On August 15, 1920 the Polish army won a miraculous victory against the Communist army known as the Red Army. That battle took place along the Vistula River on the day of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Catholics around the world gave thanks to Mary for this Miracle of the Vistula. They saw it as a sign that God was with the Catholic Church in its war against Communists. This was in 1920.
By the way, the person on the Communist side who was blamed for this humiliating defeat was none other than Joseph Stalin. So you can image his bitter hatred towards the Pope, the Catholic Church, Poland, and everyone close to Poland and the Catholic Church. Stalin later became the dictator of Russia and he did everything he could to hurt and humiliate Poland and the Catholic Church as long as he lived.
Now here’s where it gets interesting. 1953, Stalin dies. Nikita Khrushchev then takes over Communist Russia. Kruschev, and the Communist leaders after him decide that it was a big mistake to to fight the Catholic church like Stalin did. They decided to instead work within the Catholic Church and take it over.
In 1959, Fidel Castro took over Cuba and turned it into what we then called a Communist Russian satellite. This gave Communists access to Spanish speaking Catholic churches all over Latin America. They then developed a new Catholic doctrine called “Liberation Theology.” They basically taught Catholics in Latin America that if Jesus were alive today, he would be a Communist revolutionary, killing rich people and giving their stuff to the poor. That Liberation Theology became very popular in many Catholic churches in Latin America during the late 1960s and 1970s. It was approved by the Medellin Conference of Latin American Bishops in 1968. That Liberation was also popular in Argentina, the home of both Che Guevara and Pope Francis.
There was another big Communist influence on the Catholic Church during the 1960s. In 1978, the head of the Communist KGB or Secret Police in Romania became the highest Communist official to ever switch sides and come to the United States. He said that because the Romanian language is a Latin language similar to Spanish and Italian, Romanian Communists were very active in infiltrating the Roman Catholic Church during the 1960s and 1970s.
Communists often win support by claiming to help oppressed victims. It appears that during the 1960s and 1970s, Communists encouraged homosexual men to join the priesthood saying that they were another oppressed minority. And so that that they had that also had influence in the Catholic church, and they also tended to support Communists and other “woke” causes. This, of course, alarmed many traditional Catholics.
In 1978, John Paul 2 became the Pope. He was from Poland. He support traditional doctrines. Popue John Paul 2 pushed back against the Communists, and they were very unhappy with him. You may remember that in 1981, a Turk from Communist Bulgaria tried to murder Pope John Paul by shooting him 4 times at close range.
However, Pope John Paul survived and lived until 2005. And then it gets even more interesting. In 2005, John Paul 2 is replaced by a new traditional Pope from Germany. Of all the names that the Pope could have picked, he chose the name Pope Benedict 16th. He named himself after the Pope who stood up to the Communists in Poland in 1920. I have no inside knowledge of the Catholic Church. I’m Jewish. However, I think that was more than a coincidence. So now, in 2005, a new Benedict is Pope. He opposes the Communists and their so-called Liberation Theology. He criticizes the influence of homosexual men within the Catholic church, especially in the seminaries.
And you know, a lot of the pedophilia problems that the Catholic Church had during the past 30 years was really a homosexual grooming culture that Pope Benedict, was criticizing.
And then almost out of nowhere, in 2013, Pope Benedict is out and Pope Francis is in. I have no understanding or explanation for that. All I know is that for the next twelve years, Pope Francis systematically removes all the conservative cardinals, and he appoints a whole bunch of radical leftists to take their place.
So last year, when Pope Francis died those new cardinals choose Pope Leo of Communist Chicago to be the new Pope.
And now you have Pope Leo publicly criticizing President Trump, and President Trump publicly criticizing Pope Leo. As a non-Catholic, I don’t know how relevant this history is. However, I certainly think it is worth mentioning. And I find it curious that no one even mentions any of this stuff…
Why voters and taxpayers don’t care about local budgets or budget hearings.
I want to close by talking about local budget hearings. During the past month, there were dozens orf newspaper articles about counties, towns, and townships approving their yearly budgets and announcing the latest tax increases.
The real news is that nobody seems to care. Nobody pays attention to them. Hardly anybody goes to budget hearings anymore. Nobody goes to them. They mean absolutely nothing.
However, when we Boomers were young, budget hearings were a big deal, because our counties, towns and cities, and our public schools. were run like condominium associations. Every year, they would announce who they planned to hire, how much they would pay them, what projects they wanted to do, and how much money they would spend.
Everybody paid attention to these budgets because your taxes would go up or down depending on what they did. And now suddenly, it doesn’t matter.
Here are a few reasons. It used to be that everybody paid real estate taxes at the same rate, and everybody was equally affected by the budget. But during the last thirty years, we gave new tax breaks to senior citizens. They have senior freezes. They don’t pay tax increases. We have affordable housing. We gave Section 8 housing. We have public housing. People in these places don’t pay tax increases either. We have PILOT, Payment in Lieu of Taxes for certain favored businesses. They don’t pay tax increases either. So you have these towns where the most important people in town and the most influential voters pay taxes based on what special deals they can get from Trenton or somewhere else, and not based on how honest or efficient their local government is run.
And something else is going on. And you also find out that a lot of towns, whether their taxes go up, has nothing to do with whether they are run honestly and efficiently. Wildwood got the state to pay for their Boardwalk and a pedestrian shopping mall. Atlantic City got the federal government to repave Atlantic Avenue. Ocean City gets the federal and state governments to pay for a lot of their local stuff.
During the past 30 years, we’ve made, government so complicated that voters have no idea who is doing a good job or a bad job. When the federal government pays for local stuff, and state government pays for local stuff, having good political connections is much more important than running your town efficiently.
It makes a mockery of the budget process. Nobody cares how much money is being spent or wasted because it doesn’t affect people…

Seth thank you for consistently and constantly expending your time, effort, money and energy over the last 40 years that I have personally witnessed to bring facts to the public about history and current affairs that they would not otherwise be aware of or remember–facts that are crucial to any real understanding of what is really going on locally or in the world. It seems most folks are placated, indoctrinated or beaten down enough to just go with the easy flow of government and media. Your efforts have thankfully been a continuing wake up to reality slap all these years and I believe have inspired thousands of folks like me. And it hasn’t been easy–I have seen attempts to ridicule you in the media again, again and again over all these years by multiple public figures whose self centered interests have been threatened by the context you provide. But you keep going. Can’t thank you enough for your selfless service Seth.
