Diana Gurwicz, candidate for Mainland High School Board of Education for Linwood at our Saturday breakfast this morning.

Diana Gurwicz, candidate for Mainland High School Board of Education for Linwood,?made a very effective 2015-gurwicz-mainlandpresentation at our breakfast last Saturday.??Diana graduated Cornell University, studied at the Wharton Business School, was? a strategic consultant with McKinsey & Company for several major corporations, and helped restructure Toys?R?Us. After leaving the corporate consulting world, Diana became a certified facilitator who helps companies organize and process their own ideas and strategies so they can better achieve their goals.? However, throughout her career Diana has remained active in college admissions for several different universities.? In 2004, Diana moved to Atlantic County and married Mitchell Gurwicz of Max Gurwicz Enterprises and Harbor Pines Golf Club and is now raising their two children in Linwood.

Several years ago, Diana began to apply her business and college admissions experience to helping area students apply to college. While doing this, she familiarized herself with how students were being prepared at Mainland Regional High School.? Understanding what schools want and knowing how to meet those requirements at reasonable costs, provided the motivation for Diana to seek election to the Mainland High School Board.? Diana feels that given the state of the local economy, the high rate of foreclosures in Linwood and the rising costs of educational services, she needs to be elected to the Mainland High School Board so she can better serve students, parents and taxpayers, by utilizing all of her skills to produce better results with lower operational costs.2015-mainland-high-school

We do not and cannot endorse candidates.?? But we do inform the public when we believe candidates substantially support parts of our Nine Point Program posted at www.libertyandprosperity.org.?? We believe Diana Gurwicz has a vision that is consistent with Point VII.?? The election is this Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.?? Linwood elementary schools have a Board of Education appointed by the mayor.??? However, Linwood voters choose two of the nine member Board of Education for Mainland High School. This year one of those seats is in play.??? Diana Gurwicz is running against long term incumbent Jill Ojserkis for that seat.
