Every year, the members of Liberty and Prosperity try to agree on 10 key issues to promote. We look for issues with these three qualities:

First: They promote liberty and traditional American values.
Second: Most voters support them when properly explained.
Third: They benefit any candidate for public office who uses them in his or her campaign.
Above are the 11 issues we selected for 2025. What do you suggest for this year? Below are my 10 suggestions:
- Continue Mass Deportations of foreigners who arrived illegally after 2015. Case-by-case review for others, but within existing quotas.*
*In 2025, we agreed that some foreigners who came illegally before 2015 should apply for legal status on a case-by-case basis. Three of our members have so far recommended removing that exception. However, I recommend that we keep it for the following reasons:
a. For hundreds of years, English and American law recognized the injustice of strictly enforcing laws after ignoring them for long periods of time. This is described by legal terms like “statute of limitations”, “estoppel,” and “laches.”
b. Most Americans do NOT support the deportation of foreigners who illegally entered our country more than 11 years ago who have homes and jobs and have not broken other laws. By insisting on the deportation of sympathetic people like this, opponents of all immigration enforcement can win majority support.
c. Foreigners who illegally entered our country more than 11 years ago, and who have homes and jobs and have not broken any other laws usually have spouses and children in public schools who are citizens. Almost all of them have friends, relatives, customers and co-workers who will fight politically to fight their deportation–even to the point of opposing enforcement of all immigration laws.

- Repeal the 1965 “Hart-Cellar” immigration law that began mass migration and “chain migration. Return legal immigration to 100,000 per year. Repeal all “Temporary Protected Status” laws above that quota. End asylum without documented proof of “well-founded fear of persecution in home country. End “chain migration and “birthright citizenship.” Oppose the “Dignidad” bill and any immigration “reform” that fails to limit legal immigration.
- Return to One Election Day with In-Person Voting and Photo ID. Return to Paper Ballots or Mechanical (Non-Electronic) Voting Machines. Absentee ballots to those with objectively documented illnesses, disabilities, or work-related travel plans. Voters must register with current address more than thirty (30) days before Election Day.
- Oppose Article V “Convention of States” to propose Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Use the original intent of Article I, Section 8 and 9th and 10th Amendments of the Constitution we have.
- Apply all laws, including tax laws, equally to everyone. Equally distribute the “Property Tax Relief Fund” of New Jersey Income to each school district based on the number of its students. (Sen. Michael Doherty Plan). Allow parents to apply that per-student amount to charter or private schools or homeschooling programs that teach the basic academic skills taught in public schools.
- Protect The Unborn with Persuasion. No tax dollars or insurance mandates for abortions or Planned Parenthood propaganda. No punishment of doctors and nurses who refuse to abort pregnancies that do not endanger the life of the mother. Mandatory ultrasounds before non-emergency abortions to ensure informed consent.
- Repeal all federal and state laws that raise taxes and electric bills to pay for wind and solar electricity that is far more expensive and unreliable than oil, natural gas and nuclear electricity. Repeal all federal and state laws that force electric companies to charge RGGI and “societal benefits fees” for projects and programs that have nothing to do with generating electricity. End all restrictions not based on safety that block or delay new pipelines and gas, oil, and nuclear power plants.
- Educate citizens on the causes and effects of deadly attacks on Christians, Jews, Hindus, Persians, and Buddhists by followers of Muhammad during the past 1400 years.
- Protect the public from criminals and other uncivilized people. Long prison terms for people over the age of 14 who physically threaten, assault, rob, steal from, or damages or destroy the property of others more than once. Confine “homeless” who misuse public sidewalks, streets, parks, or other public property for personal living space or prevent others from safely and comfortably using them. Construct and maintain whatever new jails, prisons, or mental institutions may be necessary. Remove and replace law enforcement officers, judges, and administrators unwilling or unable to do this.
- End federal and state government mandates and grants (bribes) for local projects. Let voters and taxpayers of each community decide what local projects and programs to have, how to run them, and how to pay for them.
