Republican State Senator Michael Testa spoke to us at our Yearly Fundraiser last February. He represents the Legislative District that includes Vineland, Millville, and all of Cape May County. We will post the full video and text of his remarks shortly.
Senator Testa shared his ideas for having Republican candidates again win elections in New Jersey. He said the first step is for them to publicly adopt clear, simple goals and campaign on them throughout the state.
He praised what we have done for the past ten years. At the beginning of each year, we discuss and agree on a few key goals for the year. Those goals have these four features:
-
They are easy to understand and explain.
-
They address issues or problems that are important to most voters.
-
They are consistent with traditional values of American constitutional liberty.
-
They are supported by most voters when properly explained.

We begin each year by asking our members to suggest the most important issues to address. We then have weeks of conversations and votes until we agree on not more than ten goals for the year. (Last year, we adopted a new, 11th goal in the middle of the year.)
We then promote those goals throughout the year throughout our radio programs, website, weekly emails and postcards.
Democrats win elections in New Jersey because they unify behind simple, consistent messages throughout the state. Republicans lose elections because they don’t.

During the 2023 and 2025 state election campaigns, Republicans for state and county office failed to use their public statements and campaign ads to promote clear and consistent Republican values, principles and programs. They instead followed the advice of expensive consultants who told them to campaign on personalities and local issues in each district.
For the past four years, Republicans spent millions of dollars that persuaded few voters and did nothing to build future support for Republicans.
Our 2025 Goals are posted on our website at this link: Liberty and Prosperity 2025 Goals – Liberty and Prosperity
Liberty and Prosperity 2025 Goals
OUR 12 GOALS FOR 2025
- Mass Deportations Of Foreigners Who Arrived Illegally After 2015. Case-by-case for others. Revoke asylum “paroles” previously issued without evidence in violation of law.
- Honest Elections. One Election Day With In-Person Voting And Voter ID. Limit Mail-In Ballots to military, disabled, and those with documented travel plans. Register at least 30 days before Election Day.
- End “Green” Energy Subsidies. No Government Funding or Rate Hikes to pay for Unsustainable and Unreliable Solar and Wind Electricity. Expand nuclear power. Rebuild and replace the productive nuclear, oil, and gas power plants destroyed by demands of climate alarmists during the past five years.
- End Mandatory And Government Funded Recycling. End restrictions on private, voluntary recycling.
- Apply Constitution To Control Spending And Debt. Limit federal borrowing and spending to national purposes “enumerated” in Article I, Section 8 of U.S. Constitution. Enforce NJ State Constitution by refusing to pay government debt borrowed without voter approval.
- Repeal 2014 “Bail Reform” Amendment to NJ Constitution.
- Persuasion To Protect The Unborn. No tax dollars or insurance mandates for abortions or Planned Parenthood propaganda. Conscientious Objector status for doctors and nurses who refuse to abort pregnancies that do not endanger life of mother. Mandatory ultrasounds before non-emergency abortions to ensure informed consent.
- Rethink Public Education. This includes letting parents apply their child’s share of public-school funds to private schools of their choice.
- Protect Public From The “Homeless”. Restrict the freedom of those who deny clean and safe parks, sidewalks and other taxpayer-funded public spaces to others. Institutions for mentally ill. Jail for criminals. Shelters for temporary poor.
- Equally Distribute “Property Tax Relief Fund” of NJ Income Tax to Each Town or School District On Equal Per Person Basis. (Mike Doherty Plan)
- Enforce All Constitutional Laws. Quickly Repeal Bad Ones. (In 1868, Republican President Ulysses Grant said this was the best way to secure the repeal of “bad and obnoxious” laws).
- Oppose all efforts to hold an Article V “Convention of States” to propose Amendments to U.S. Constitution. This false panacea threatens to void our Constitution and poses an existential threat to our Republic.**
We begged every Republican candidate who spoke to last year to publicly endorse them and include them in his or her her campaigns. Almost all of them ignored us.
We are now preparing new goals for 2026. Please send us your suggestions!
Here are three suggestions that have been submitted so far:
- Freeze ALL new immigration from other countries until our current illegal immigration problem is fixed. Limit any amnesty or leniency for illegals to pre-1965 quota of 100,000 per year.
- End ALL surcharges on electric bills that pay for anything other than the cost of generating and delivering electricity. That includes subsidies for “green” energy, “efficiency”, free electricity for the “needy” and subsidies for data center
- Oppose FEDERAL funds for “beach replenishment” as useless, corrupt and unconstitutional.
We have NOT adopted those three new goals. We will talk about them are our Saturday breakfasts and radio programs during the next few weeks. Do you support or oppose them? Do you have other ideas? Please let us know!
