Use ReclaimTheNews.com to Reclaim the News from Media Bias

Most of us already know that far-left news outlets like MSNBC and NPR are biased. We also know that the MSM (“Mainstream” Media) like ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, and the 360 Section of the Press of Atlantic City are just as bad. However, many of us are surprised to see how “conservative media” like Fox News, Newsmax, and Breitbart are just as dishonest and unreliable.

During the past year, David Goloff PhD, developed and perfected a useful tool to recognize this bias and reclaim balanced news. It began as MyTake.live and is now ReclaimTheNews.com.

For years, liberals and conservatives gave different impressions and opinions of current events. What is happening today is far worse and dangerous. Each is its own eco-chamber with ideological commitments and subconscious reactionary reflexes.

Today’s media no longer report on the same events and no longer give readers, listeners and viewers the same basic facts.  Very often, important stories reported as headline news by conservative Fox News, Newsmax or Breitbart are not even mentioned by CNN, MSNBC or any MSN networks or newspapers. At the same time, many stories of great interest to conservatives can only be found in far-left news reports.

Because of this Americans today have – not just different political opinions – but completely different perceptions of reality. This is why we can no longer have productive conversations: we cannot agree on even the most basic facts.

ReclaimTheNews.com addresses this problem in several ways. Every fifteen minutes, it collects and posts the leading stories from more than 300 news sources.  It arranges them in three categories, “Left”, “MSM (“Mainstream” Media) and “Right” media.

ReclaimTheNews.com lets you quickly learn which events are reported by each section of the media and which are not.  It displays headlines and summaries of the 135 (45 in each column) most recent stories published by more than 300 media sources, arranged by their political alignment. You can press the down-arrow buttons to display the next 45 most recent stories in each column. The application takes in about 1600 stories per day.

See the word clouds below that display the key words used in those stories. Those key words used the most are displayed with the largest type.  If you are using a desktop PC, then those key words are clickable filters. Those charts are updated every fifteen minutes. You can navigate by key word (three levels deep), time period, sources, and next 45 records.

ReclaimTheNews.com also has features that allow you to assemble and publish your own mix of news stories and become your own media outlet – with your own special viewpoint!  The application also provides video tutorials that allow you to quickly learn all features of the site.

You can easily access ReclaimTheNews.com for a free, no-credit-card 14 day trial period.
